10.03.04 Public Run

Frank Fotis' newly purchased Pacific engine resting in the steaming bay waiting for a boiler pressure test and it's first run with Frank at the cab.
Dave Foster at the controls of the club loco checking out if a problem was resolved. The new acquisition is rolled out of the train shed to check for any problems.
Judson Elliott holding the shifter as Dave pushes the engine to the elevated steaming bays for a checkout of the engine.
Robbi Haines and Roger Harnish push his American on to the turntable. George Davidson's little engine on the new lift waiting to go into the steaming bay for a boiler pressure test.
Frontal shot of George's engine. Jon Jaros, Kevin Harris and Rex Shriver standing behind the Waite Hill & Lake Erie engine on a steaming bay.
Head on shot of the WH & LE engine 9401 (new in Jan. 1994?) Dave drilling the front plate for a U bolt for the safety chain.
Kevin and Frank looking over the progress with the first steamup after the Pacific passed it's boiler test. Roger on the turntable checking the injector.
Roger checking things out and prepares to move to the main line. Frank lubricates the engine while Kevin discusses the engine.
Jon on the WH & LE engine for a checkout run, minus the cab's sheet metal, at Patty's Rock Bridge. Don Spiedel with his Conrail engine and one of the first load of passengers of the public run.
The engine back by the coaling tower and service bay. The front seal on the hydraulic motor has a slow leak so it was decided not to use the engine until repairs are made.
The public was out in force waiting for rides with the line fairly long most of the afternoon. Dick Clark's train with Roy Harris (in red hat) loading at the station.
Roy watches as Don adjusts the seats for the riders. There were several park personel and volunteers that walked around with outfits with wings that represented butterflys and moths, quite impressive!
Frank Foti at the throttle of his newly acquired engine running on the "Orchard Loop" behind the station. Here you see a guy that is on cloud nine with a beautiful running engine.
Frank approaches the crossing for the "Orchard Yard". George Davidson getting his electric cab ready to pull out on the main line and take passengers around the track.
Bill Deptowicz leaving the station with a full load of passengers as George pulls up for the next load. The delight in a child's eyes for the "big" kids and the little kids setting on the rail watching the trains
