Public Run

Marie Nyland's top soil and seed supplies in buckets were loaded on a train and taken to the Orchard Yard behind the station where Ken Brooks, Mike Harkleroad and Linda Harris helped unload the train.
Marcel Uhrich is behind the Hudson and the Camelback is raising steam as Roger Harnish carefully moves his engine off the turntable bridge. John Deptowicz comes into the station with his son Ethan on the Snoopy train.
Paul Emch after coasting down the hill from Hilton approaches Fern. Chet Roberts cracks open the throttle and starts his run after Robbi Haines just loaded the passengers on his train.
Robbi gives instructions to the riders on John's Snoopy train as Dick Clark watches. Mike Uhrich is heading towards Horrendous after just passing thru Zip Junction.
Marcel and the Hudson with safety lifted and the whistle blowing for the grade crossing make an impressive sight. Ted Nyland with his passengers coasts down grade by Hilde Hill on his interurbans.
Dick Schmidt with his switcher on the down grade at Hilde Hill. Karl Losely just past Gulch with Mike's electric box cab switcher trying to feel how it is with "real" power at your disposal.
Rick Nagy with the GP38 and Ken Brooks as his conductor just passed Ted on the grade at Gulch. Dave Foster on the double crossover at Gulch with his pair of Speeders.
Chet with his engine tackling the 3 1/2%+ grade from Gulch Bridge to High Creek. Marcel with the Hudson coasting down grade from Hilton with his trainload of passengers.
Dick Clark with his train just past Hilton will already have made an application of brakes as he starts downhill. From the other side of the track I caught Scott Hewis as he passed through Hilton.
Roger Harnish on the mainline at Hilton rolling over the crossing for the Branch Line with the familiar clickity-clack of the wheels. Mike and the Park engine with his charge of passengers crossing Big Wash Bridge.
Lets see, if I throw switch No.42 and then No.47 and then....geeesh "Who laid this out?", the compression of the telephoto lens makes it look worse than it really is. Ted with his passengers at Drudgery.
Chet with the smoke from his engine riding high and away from him and his passengers at Drudgery. Roger tops off the water at the station as his trainload of passengers wait patiently.
Ken Brooks with a full load of passengers leaving the station with Lew Fowler as conductor. These two, Pam Znidar and Bill Deptowicz, tried out for the TV show My Favorite Martian but didn't get the parts.
Bill Bodemer with the clicker in hand took count of the passengers and that's Amy Deptowicz by the fire trying to get some warmth. Laurel Neiting steadies the car as passengers load on Roger's train.
Roger standing next to his train as the safety lifts on his engine, "Come on Roger, I want to stretch my side rods not sit at the station." Mom is taking her one month old baby for a ride on the train. That's the way to break the kids in.
Dick takes another load of passengers and the end of the line of riders is near. Dick Mackey with his Camelback leaving the staton with another load of passengers. "Where's the gear shift lever on this thing?"
Ken with a full load again departing the station. Well if the trains leave they must come back, Tom Reder the conductor on the front train, with Mike behind with his train watches the riders unloading from Don Speidels train.
Linda Harris waits to unload as Edith Hacker tells the riders on Dick's train to exit left and that's John with the Snoopy train behind them all, waiting to pull into the station. Dick has unloaded but there are no more passengers to ride.
Roger's train sitting idle at the station after the Public Run. Edith helping with the unoading of Scott's trainload of passengers as they arrive back at the station.
Marcel with the Hudson coasts to a stop in front of the station to discharge passengers. The fun is over for today and Pam Znidar and Amy Deptowicz roll up the flag lines we put out at the loading area.
