Ramble to the GNO&NE Railroad - 10/09/10

George Santin, also a member of LSLS, with his Climax is about to climb the 5% grade just ahead of him which is the steepest grade on the railroad. Dick Deptowicz watches as Rick Nagy holds up the transfer rail bridge so Dick Clark can back up his truck to unload.
Dick's engineer car on the tracks and Dick and Rick have the SW1500 on the turntable as Edith Hacker watches. A guest running Larry Volzer's train with passengers is on the trestle that loops to the main line.
Ken Brooks of LSLS was in attendance with his electric cab and had just came through the covered bridge. Dick Clark with Rick running on the main line that circles Larry Volzer's house and has signals for two way running.
A friend getting ready to run George's engine with some of the guests standing around. Ron Trenhaile, Rick and Dick enjoying the dinner that was provided by our host Larry and Kathy Volzer and some of the guests.
Larry talking with some of the guests at the track about what else but trains. Larry has two loops, one for access to the turntable, the second to the station like a figure eight and sidings that go into the storage barns one of which Rick has the train sitting on.
George getting ready to blow down the engine and put it away. Rick and Dick having just climbed the 5% track grade behind them are running adjacent to the loop that is on the trestle that passes the turntable area.
Edith Hacker waiting for Dick's train to come back around to get a ride is standing near the top of the 5% grade. George's engine during the blowdown sitting pretty up on a steaming bay.
Dick on the trestle just passing the steaming bay where George's engine rests. Ken with Ron riding behind him follows Dick across the trestle as a Gnome watches the passing trains.
A front view on of George's engine still blowing off steam and water looks very clean and well kept. The turnout for the ramble was light as there was only three other engines other than Larry's equipment in attendance and the fall scenery going home was great.
