10.14.09 Work Session

Ken Brooks, Wally Pausch, Rick Nagy, Lew Fowler, Edith Hacker, Steve Zaken and Tom Reder enjoying the warmth of the station instead of the 42 degrees outside. Lew and Joe Banzer maintain the club engines as Tom and Dick Clark watch.
Joe draining the oil from the engine using the extention piping on the motor we added at a winter work session. Rick holds the train in position as Tom and Dick unload a switch on the Branch line near Filmor.
Ted Nyland and Ken worked on making another switch which they can do in a days work session. Joe and Lew lavish TLC on the club engine as the oils and lubrication attention continues.
Rick and Tom relocate some of the cut wood from a fallen tree that fell too close to our track right-a-way. Back at the station our resident electrical man, George Metts, work on our talking skeketon who doesn't want to talk.
For supper tonight we are being treated to a Lake Erie perch dinner provided by Ted and Marie Nyland. Robbi Haines is mixing up the coleslaw. Kitty Shriver is waiting for the cooking oil to get hot enough.
Marie cooking fish as Robbi tends to the side dishes and the buns. Marie and Ted catch the fish during the summer, freeze them and Marie is just so happy to be able to cook for us tonight.
