On this cool day the place to be was around the fire pit trying to keep warm. I think George Woodling is trying to get his toes warm with that foot up on the edge of the fire ring.
While I was out riding a train Joe Laskowski took these two photos of the bride and groom that came to the Park for photos and used East Wind for a couple of their remembrance pictures. That's Frank making with the steam.
Frank behind East Wind coasting to a stop in front of the station with his cold passengers. Frank and Tom look cold as Roger stirs the brew in the boiling cauldron as the meat and carrots cook.
The cauldron with the makings of hobo stew bubbling and soon the cabbage will be added. Anticipation as the members and guests keep warm around the fire and wait for serving time.
Rick Nagy with Wally Pausch arrive back at the station after a cold run. Alex is taking a guest for a ride behind Joe's interurban.
Marie stirred the stew and is checking if the cabbage and potatoes are done, not yet! Ted, John Deptowicz and Joe watch as Robbi checks the cabbage for tendernous as Bonnie Zaken watches.
With the hungry mob forming Robbi says another half hour and we'll eat! Paul talks to Ted prior to taking Emmy and Wally Pausch for a ride on the interurban.
Ethan Deptowicz sits behind the clubs' GP38 for a picture. Frank has East Wind up on one of the steaming bays and is blowing down East Winds boiler and has moved the tender away from the engine.
East Wind during the blowdown as the engine sits on the turntable. Stews On! as Robbi and Roger start serving grub to the hungry group with Frank being served and Bonnie waiting patiently.
The members and guests line up with their own bowls and utencils becacuse of the nature of the serving. A view from the steaming bays at the line waiting to be served.
Our monthly club meeting was after we finished eating and at 7 pm and this view is looking forward at the officers at the head table. A view looking toward the members in attendance.
Frank Foti chaired the meeting and the discussions of the business at hand. Virginia Sales explained her proposal to make siliouttes of old towns to place at different sites around the track.
