10.21.06 Magical Whooloween Run

>
Some of the pumpkins were of sinister images and others were placed in unusual places.
At Horrendous it seemed that we had a pumpkin about every thirty feet on both sides of the track. Riders coming into the station could see the hanging display at the end of the ride.
Judson Elliott with the park engine coming into the station with Abby Greene. If you look real close into the smoke from the fire you might be able to see a skelleton that haunted us at night.
Marcel Uhrich has raised steam on the Hudson and with safeties lifted moves the engine on to the turntable. Judson waiting to take the first load of passengers for the start of Saturdays run.
Bill Besselman watches as the young riders help themselves to candy at the end of the ride. Amy and John Deptowicz brought my almost four week old grandson Ethan to the track and get him started right.
John wanted Ethan to try the engineers seat behind a loco. I think Ethan likes it, well I can hope so, time will tell.
John was talking to Sean Roberts about his engine as Linda and Brett Harris stand off to the side. Dick Clark with his trainload of passengers starts to ease his train out of the loading area.
Judson stands alongside Seans' engine as Frank Foti (note the facial disguise) and Jonathan Shaffer as conductor move forward after unloading passengers. Josh Frank taking friends for a ride on "Scrappy" on the loop behind the station.
Brett with his lantern and outfit lends an erie and macabre mood to the evening run. The exit pumpkin at the end of the ride as backlit from the candle inside.
Bill Deptowicz who was giving Ted Nyland a chance to warm up was photographed coming into the station with the inter-urbans. The roaring fire was a popular spot for persons trying to keep warm.
Roy finishes loading Pauls' train as Rick waits in the cold for his train to load next. As Roy loads, Kevin w/gray confederate cap and Linda check out the grouping of rides to speed up the loading.
Roberta Uhrich looking as a roadman from the past caught taking pictures. Passengers that braved standing in the cold are loading on Dick Clark's train.
Jonathan as conductor about to blow his train whistle for the all clear to move the train. The kids dressed up in costumes wait patiently in the cold night air for their turn to ride the trains.
Brett with top hat and light greeted the riders at the end of the run adding to the image of Halloween. Ted coming into the station with his passengers.
Time shot of Skip Frank and Marcel Uhrich at the station with their steamers and a cold breeze blowing. Same shot but illuminated with the camera flash.
Skip waits for his train to load as the line of waiting passengers is thinning out. "Eastwind" is giving Frank a makeup job that I don't think he planned for but he does love running his Pacific.
Judson watches as passengers leave on the adjacent track before he can load. It's too bad that the weather wasn't warmer as we could have enjoyed more of the costumes that the kids were wearing.
Paul Emch with his new Nickle Plate Switcher about to leave the station with one of the last few trainloads of passengers. Frank with "Eastwind" looking down the track in deep thought....."Did I remember to bring that bar of soap?".
With Dave Harnish and Marie Nyland in the background, Marcel Uhrich and Bridget Murphy take time to pose for the photographer. Sean checks out the control box for his electric powered diesel engine for the final run.
