10.23.09 Magical Whooloween Run

Ken Brooks, Lew Fowler and George Woodling by the station before the start of the run. Alyssa and her new friend work the microphone for our talking skeleton that we set up in a chair by the passenger loading area.
Park personal set up the entrance way to the rides off to the side from where we normally have them enter from, as they needed tickets for this run. Ron Trenhaile, Kathy and Karl Losely before the start of the run.
With Bob Charles Bassett loading his train Paul Emch is all smiles waiting for the go ahead. Marty Pinkston pulling out of the siding by the station with his loaded train.
Mitch Lane on the Hudson at the start of his run as he advances the throttle. A study in apprehension and happiness as the train starts to make it's way to the main line from this siding.
Ted Nyland with his interurban waits for Roger Harnish to finish giving the riding instructions before he climbs aboard. Robbi Haines dressed up as a witch for the ambiance of the Whooloween Run.
As Mitch pulls in Pam Znidar is there to assist in unloading and Karl and Kathy are behind Rick. Karl on the Hudson with Steve Zaken on the rear as his conductor. These 12 photos courtesy of Joe Laskowski.
Amy Haines shows off her clinging "friend" as Robbi smiles and Robbi doesn't like spiders. Virginia Sales adding to the effect that tonight belongs to the mystical witches.
Robbi, Ron with Mike and Roberta Uhrich pose for the camera and now we have three witches. Roberta holding a pumpkin by Marie Nyland who looks like she is concentrating too much.
Ken Vendlinger parked the the tree and covered his riding car from the rain tree but the spider web wasn't there a minute or so ago. Is the train parked in the covered bridge because of the rain.
Virginia and Roberta pose with Ron in his straight jacket outfit...too bad Rons not ticklish. Robbi, Virginia and Roberta prepare for a ride to check out how the trains are doing back in the woods.
A view of the inside of the bridge with the battery powered lights they put up for decorations. Never thought that I would see a pumpkin with bad eyes that needed glasses.
Oh, that's what Marie was concentrating on, she is still carving pumpkins. Robbi, Karl and Kathy taking a rest behind the "sculpted" pumpkins on the table at the station.
The witches are back and related that the trains on the wet rails are moving along nicely if but for a few slow areas on the grades. Bob Charles Bassett in his conductors outfit is supposed to have a watch in his hand not hot chocolate.
Mike and Kathy posing for the camera seem to be in a festive mood. This is what Ron wore at Penitentiary Glen before they opened it up to the public...just kidding, Ron.
Caught the tail end of a train emerging from the covered bridge. I think this guy was here waiting for a train ride last year also, wonder if he ever made his connection? Second group of photos courtesy of Pam Znidar
