Work Session - 11/03/10

Winterizing time is here. Time to blow out the water lines as Dick Clark connects the air line to the water line by the steaming bays. A view showing the interconnector hose between the air compressor line and the water line.
Dick reaching down to the shutoff valve to keep the air pressure from blowing back into the ranger station. Rick Nagy watching Dick as he opens the water valve with 90 pounds of air pressure in the pipe to blow out the water.
Rick along side the Willis Car Barn flowing leaves off the track. John Koontz unloading dirt from the grade wall off the work train.
Paul Zorko, Dick and John moving the excess ties from building the grade wall. Edith Hacker, Paul and Dick taking a break from loading the railroad ties onto the work train.
Dick leveling the track to do some last minute maintenance. Joe Banzer, Paul, Lew Fowler and John reballasting the track that Dick leveled.
Work continues as we work up to the yard track with the reballasting of the track. Stretch of track that was reballasted and one of the last things we did for this year's work sessions.
Edith Hacker moved all the stone in by the gradewall that was previously built. John backing up the work train into the storage shed for the last time this year.
Some of the work crew amd members met at Olive Garden for a final work session dinner. View of the group from the other end of the tables.
The food was good, the camraderie was good, and a good time was had by all as we celebrated the end of another season of work sessions.
