Christmas Party - 12/01/2012

Members and friends file in to the Fire House Grill & Pub where we are having our Christmas party and socialize before the festivities get underway. Judy Oscker is explaining something to Bill Besselman as Dick Clark raptly listens to the conversation unfolding.
Roberta Uhrich is in conversation with Chet Roberts before everyone that is coming arrives. A few minutes later and the seats are nearly all taken by those who said they were coming to our Christmas dinner.
Ken Brooks, our club President is talking with Dave Foster and that's Ron Trenhaile behind them in the background. Karl Losely so eloquently gave the blessing before we started the serving of the food tonight.
A view across two tables of the gifts for the "Chinese raffle" that the members provided that were marked for "him", "her" or "either". The group enjoys the conversation as we wait for the servers to start calling the tables up one by one.
Mark Ross brought in some festive hats for the holiday season and here Edith Hacker models one with the reindeer antlers on top. Phyllis Speidel along with Edith who was now wearing one of Mark's hats that has chasing LED lights on it squeezed together with Belinda Brooks for the photographer.
The food is being served and here Mary Ann is getting some food placed on her plate as she passes down through the lineup. At this table from left is Tim Znidar, Kitty and Rex Shriver, Clay Nagle a friend of Deb Bodemer, and Pam Znidar.
Here we have Edith Hacker, Dick Clark, Rick Nagy, Bob Beardslee, Ken Vendlinger and Ron Trenhaile enjoying each other's company. In the smiling group at this table is Emmy Pausch, Scott Hewis, Wally Pausch, Paul and Barbara Emch with Sally Hewis all beaming for the photographer.
This table we have John and Dee Espandu, Mary Ann Howard who are part of Bill Besselmans' family that came with him tonight and Joe Laskowski with his friend Sherry Lehman. I managed to get a good picture of Mark Ross without him hiding his head and that's Trish and John Koontz along with Ted and Marie Nyland at this table.
Everyone's enjoying themselves tonight because they're all smiling and here we have Chet Roberts, Doris and Lou DeLembo, Jeff and Cindy Klein along with Audrey Roberts. At this table we have Roberta and Dr. Mike Uhrich along with Diane Hopp, Lois and Frank Smoley that took time out for the photographer.
And at the photographer's table, Don and Phyllis Speidel, Belinda and Ken Brooks, Judy Oscker with Bill Deptowicz getting into the picture with Jeff Klein behind the camera doing the honors for this photo. Mary Ann Smith (Robbi's mother), Sandi and Dave Foster, Kathy and Karl Losely and Robbi Haines pose for a photo.
As Robbi drew the prizes from the table, Karl and Dave alternated in drawing a ticket and delivering the prizes to the winning recipient. Trish Koontz was just overjoyed at unwrapping the present that she won, as her husband John looks on.
John looks at the tire inflator, emergency light kit that Trish won. One of the gifts turned out to be a gingerbread train with cookies that made up the boiler and the load in the gondola made by Marie Nyland.
Some of the detail on the engine, complete with cotton smoke bellowing out of the smokestack as each piece was individually wrapped. Dave delivers one of the final gifts before it was announced that anyone that didn't win a prize could take home the pointsettas on the tables.
A view of the group near the end of the evenings events as they finished opening up their raffle prizes and joined in the many conversations. I think everybody had a good time tonight, we had good food, good company, what else could you ask for?
It's the holiday season, red was the color to wear as Marie Nyland and Judy Oscker demonstrate for the photographer. Marie, Robbi and Kathy enjoy some conversation before it's time to go. Thanks Robbi for putting this party all together.
