George Woodling and Ken Brooks are starting another switch and Lew Fowler watches, since Ted Nyland couldn't make it today. Five switch assemblies lean up against the wall and today they are starting another switch assembly for Blue Berry RR.
Ken aligns the first rail against the preset screws in the ties along the one edge. Rick Nagy and Dick Clark go over the plan sheet for the Blue Berry RR to see what switches are needed next in their yard layout to be built.
View past the rider cars with Ken and George working on the switch and Bill Deptowicz and Dick Clark assembling saw horses. Bill and George riding the bucking saw horses as Rick Nagy captures the scene.
Ken looking over the plan sheet and has the second rail in it's place as we take a break. Frank Foti taking the back cylinder plate off to check the pistons on East Wind and replace the screws on re-assembly.
The club's GP38 is almost done, we just need some short pieces of air brake hosing. The Park's gondola trucks have been disassembled for inspection of the bearings and parts.
Lew and Frank put the lifting slings over the tongs of the fork lift. Lew and Frank guide the boiler down to the saw horses where the cutting out of the boiler tubes will take place.
Trucks for the Park's gondola were taken apart and inspected. Frank trying to reassure East Wind that the cutting torch won't hurt too much as Carl Losely and Marcel Uhrich are coming later to remove the boiler tubes.
