Dick runs by silently as he's only powered by the electric motor in the orange boxcar behind him which he made as a power booster for his train. Marshal at the controls of the Norfolk Western diesel engine as they are about to roll over the Justin Tyme Bridge.
Frank with East Wind after coming down the grade from Filmor and rolling over Patty's Rock Bridge will soon assault the 3 1/2+% grade up to High Creek. Marshal passing by with I believe Roger, Karen Stewart and Brooke Hunt crossing over Patty's Rock Bridge and he seems to be enjoying himself, that's what it's all about.
Chris after having passed through Zip Junction heads towards Horrendous with Wally riding behind. Back at the steaming bays Ron Trenhaile and Sean Roberts having a discussion with Sean's steam switcher engine behind him.
The station is always a good gathering place and here we see members and guests as they wait for the trains to come around, with some just relaxing. Looking out past the tables we see Rick with Chris and Wally at the siding off the main.
Edith Hacker as she talked to somebody behind my left shoulder as I snapped this shot. I acquired two witches hats and I brought them in for our Whooloween Run that we have in October and here Bonnie Zaken is trying one on.
Steve Zaken with his "Good and Plenty" electric box cab rolls into the station with Carley and Cory Guy, Dave Cryor and Logan Tapolyai as passengers on his train. Adam Pakeltis at the controls of the club's GP38 with his grandpa, Bob Pakeltis, riding behind him as they pass by near Drudgery heading eastbound towards the station.
Richard Sales leaves the Willis Car Barn with his radio controlled train led by a horse that has one leg all bandaged up as Ken Vendlinger watches. Greg Guy pulls into the station with the club's GP38 and his passengers and Rick Nagy decides to leave the train.
Richard's horse with the bandaged leg as his train reposes on the siding by the station. I wonder how long the bandaged fix will last or is this particular horse ready for the scrap yard.
Some of the members enjoying lunch up at the station. On one of the steaming bays, Dick Clark watches is Sean Roberts prepares his 0-6-0 switcher for running as he works to raise steam pressure in the boiler.
Marty Pinkston in conversation with Chan Bleil who stopped by to see how the activities were going. Bob Beardsley watches the water level as he fills his tender in preparation to lighting a fire in the firebox which Bob has converted to propane firing.
In this view Bob is checking the oil level in the lubricator reservoir as Dick watches. Sean's all smiles as he readies his engine and soon will be running down on the mainline.
Bob is watching his steam pressure gauge and the water level in his engine as the steam pressure starts to rise. Ken Vendlinger gives a wave as he departs the station with Lew Fowler and Dave Cryor riding along behind him.
One of the volunteer bird handlers came by with this owl, as she was taking it out for a walk stopping to show it to anyone interested . The Park service gets animals that were hurt and they try to nurse them back to health and release them where possible.
