Public Run 7/05/15

The members sit down and enjoy a lunch before we have our mandatory engineers and conductors meeting prior to the start of the run at 1 o'clock. Up on the turntable at the steaming bay Frank Foti has aligned East Wind with the inclined ramp to get the engine down to grade level on the mainline.
After taking the mandatory ride prior to the run to check out the engine and cars that everything is okay, East Wind sits in front of the station doing mosquito control. As it gets near to the 1 o'clock start time the trains are lined up at the station ready to take on their passengers.
Harry Tabor pulled into Shriver Station with the club's GP38 with Dave Woldman as conductor and is assisted with the unloading by Jen Zorko. Next to come into Shriver Station on his first run is Frank Foti as he slowly rolls to a stop with Lou DeLembo as his conductor.
Andy Yedlick sits on top of the passenger car in the siding as Mike Harkleroad departs the station with his passengers that Greg Guy has just loaded. Anna Zorko sitting in the chair is taking passenger count as Greg gives riding instructions to passengers on Frank Smoley's train.
Paul Emch has just crossed over the Festival Bridge and shortly will be back at Shriver Station with his Nickel Plate Hudson steam engine. Next to come by at the same location is Ron Malinowski with his trainload of smiling riders.
Sean Roberts with his 0-6-0 switcher, currently at the lowest elevation of our railroad, just coming off the Truss Bridge will start climbing the grade to Mackey's Run and Big Bend Bridge. Paul Zorko with his Fireball Express after exiting the Truss Bridge rolls across the grade crossing for the Park Access Road.
Standing on the Park Access Road, Paul Emch passes by with his next trainload of passengers as he starts to climb the grade to Mackey's Run. Ron was next to come along again with his smiling passengers as it's a beautiful day for a run today.
Frank with East Wind after coasting down the hill from Hilton has passed by Hilde Hill as he heads towards Fern, crossing over Bridge No 6. With the train ahead of Frank's that had trouble, he had to stop and Lew Fowler his conductor, flagged down Dick Clark coming behind them with his SW1500.
With the problem cleared with the train, the following trains ran smoothly through the area as I took this picture of John Koontz with the Park engine from the walkway adjacent to our track by Bridge No 6. Next to come by was Mike with the Nickel Plate Switcher.
Standing in the wooded setting, I took a picture of Frank as he passed by Hilde Hill after coasting down the grade from Hilton as he makes his way towards the Truss Bridge. Caught Sean Roberts in the lens of the camera as he just passed through Gulch on his way towards Hilde Hill.
Three quarter frontal shot of Paul Zorko coming down the hill from Gulch near the same location as he rumbles by the photographer. Ron just passed over the scissor crossovers at Gulch as he passes by on his way down the grade towards Fern.
Scott Hewis just minutes behind, crosses over the switch to the yard lead just below Hilton as he heads towards the bottom of the grade at Fern. Back up near the station near the ash pit and water tower, Ron passes over the switch at Short near the beginning of his run.
Frank rolls into Shriver Station at the end of his run with East Wind hardly working as evidenced by the smoke or lack of it. Jen gives a smile as John rolls to a stop with his passengers in front of Shriver Station.
Edith Hacker stands by to assist with the unloading as Harry brings the trainload of passengers to a stop in front of the station. Bonnie Zaken talking with with Anna Zorko who is counting the passengers as they depart the station riding a train.
Greg just gave Frank the all clear to move his train with the call "All Aboard!" as Frank starts his next run with his passengers. This picture taken from behind the station, Paul Zorko is on Paul Emch's Nickel Plate switcher bringing in a load of passengers as he nears the end of his run.
Ron heads for Festival Bridge as he nears the end of his run and will soon be in Shriver station to unload his passengers. Paul with the big Hudson just crossing over Festival Bridge with our Covered Bridge in the background.
Dick's train rumbling over Cider Bridge as he heads for Festival Bridge will soon be running on the loop into the station. Sean following Dick is at the same location with a smiling load of passengers.
Harry just passed by Shoe with his passengers and will soon be rumbling through our Covered Bridge as he heads towards Zip Junction. Scott is all smiles after emerging from the Covered Bridge on his way towards Zip Junction and Horrendous.
Taken from the opposite side of the track, I caught Paul as he emerged from the Covered Bridge with his passengers as he climbs the slight grade to Zip Junction. On the back side of the station loop, Scott heads towards Shriver Station where he will arrive in a minute to unload his charge of passengers
Paul arriving back at the station and with the trains lightly loaded I think that's the end of the run. Ron coming into the station following Paul and it was a good day for a run, good weather and everyone had fun.
