Today we are going to reballast some track and Matthew Bolyard and Ken Brooks "dig in" to the task of filling the ballast car. The first section is at Hilde Hill as Frank Foti runs the engine as Ken and Matthew watch the progress. |

Slowly, Frank makes his way down the grade depositing ballast on one side of the track only. The chute gate plate has been pried open and the limestone ballast drops to the ties as the engine slowly pulls the car along. |

Continuing around the track, the crew lays down ballast between Fern and the Truss Bridge. We get settlement in this area because it is a wet area and the lowest point on our track so when you can see the end of the ties we add ballast. |

Frank still had ballast in the car so he backed up depositing what was left of this load. Up at the station Ken Vendlinger was cutting the grass with the riding mower. |
