Super Star Party 8/08/15

Bob and Donna Craig, with his scratch-built diesel engine, talks with Ron Trenhaile before departing Shriver Station with their riders as Josh Frank watches. Paul Zorko leaving the station with his passengers for his first run of our Super Star Party night run.
Mike Harkleroad's passengers watch as Mike tops off the Camelbacks tender with water before leaving the station. Bob taking his second load of passengers, takes time out for this picture.
On the loop behind Orchard Yard I caught Ken Vendlinger with his electric powered switcher as he starts the curve that will bring him into Shriver Station. Having just passed over Festival Bridge and thru Thorn, Mike heads for the station as he nears the end of his run.
Here we have Paul crossing Big Bend Bridge with one of his passengers doing a magic trick, that of the old "floating hand". Ken gives a wave as he exits the Big Bend Bridge and heads for Pandora with his passengers.
John Koontz was the next to come by with the Park engine and a full load of passengers as they head for Pandora and the Covered Bridge. Mike running the Camelback is at the end of the bridge with a smiling load of riders at he makes his way into the darkness of the night.
This telephoto shot of Dick Clark with his SW1500 on Big Bend Bridge shows a train on the curve in the background approaching Ridgeway which is much further away than it looks. John Deptowicz with the Snoopy train as he rumbles over the wooden bridge.
Ron Malinowski with his electric powered switcher just rolled out on the bridge with his passengers that seem to be enjoying the ride. Bob as he crosses Big Bend Bridge with that unmistakeable throbbing of a diesel engine as he appeared out of the darkness in the light of the flashgun.
Ken waves as he climbs the slight grade at Mackey's run and disappears into the night air as he continues his run. John passes over the grade crossing for the Park Access road after emerging from the Truss Bridge.
Dick passes by at the same location as the SW1500 starts up the grade to Mackey's Run as he continues westbound. John emerging from the Truss Bridge with his trainlosd of riders and the sounds of the Snoopy music theme.
Ron was next to come by at the same location and in a few minutes will crossing the Big Bend Bridge with his passengers. Coming down the grade from Hilton, Paul appeared with his Fire Ball Express after crossing over the double crossover at Gulch as he coasted down grade.
Kenny passes by a little later and is all smiles as he loves running his train during these public events. John as he coasts down grade approaching Gulch with with his train and Matthew Bolyard is his conductor at the rear.
Mike just past the crossing at Hilton and the Branch Line as he starts coasting down the 3 1/2+ percent grade to Fern with his passengers. John, almost at the same location as you can see the crossing behind his Snoopy train, with his smiling passengers listening to the music.
Ron passes by my location with passengers that are obviously enjoying the night ride. This photo definitely proves there is a crossing as Bob passes over it with the clickity-clack of the wheels over the gaps in the rails for the crossing.
Skip Frank with his Columbia steamer as he approaches Hilton having just left the station a few minutes earlier. Ron advances the throttle on his engine as he starts out on his next run leaving the station with two passengers.
Mike after passing through the Truss Bridge and the Camelback is hardly working with his passenger load. Things are thinning out back at the station as John takes off for another run with his son Ethan riding behind him.
John and Matthew wait for Greg Guy to load their train and the passengers standing in line is dwindling down. Ethan enjoying a piece of watermelon by the roaring fire as his dad, John, starts Snoopy rolling down the track for his next trip.
Mike starting to roll as he starts off with his passengers on his next trip. Standing down by the water tower, I caught Paul in the lens of the camera as he heads for Drudgery.
Skip with his engine "Lynn" and his circus train as he passes through Zip Junction. Paul having just left the station is about to pass over the grade crossing on the main line just before Drudgery.
John at the same location a few minutes later with his load of passengers as he heads off into the night. Bob and Donna as they pass the cutoff for Short and head down the mainline for Drudgery.
Skip with Lynn positioned over the ash pit will dump Lynn's ashes before running the engine up on a steaming bay to clean her up before heading home. Out from behind the camera, Bill Deptowicz is at the controls of the Snoopy train as he leaves the station with one of the last runs for the night.
