Club Run 9/26/15

Club run day and Dick Philpott runs past the photographer on track #2 westbound as Scott Hewis runs behind him on the mainline. Scott with a full load of passengers as he heads towards Hemlock on the mainline.
While I was riding behind Ted Nyland on his interurban westbound, we passed Tom Reder with his diesel switcher running eastbound toward the station, just before Lester. Dick Clark gives a wave as he negotiates the Branch Line heading for Summit Bridge.
I didn't get the name of this lass but she sure enjoyed the hand powered riding car that George Metts brought to the event. Steve and Bonnie Zaken arriving back at Shriver Station with their Plum Cove engine detailed for "Good & Plenty".
Ted Nyland tends to his American steam engine as Josh Frank watches Mike Harkleroad prep the Camelback for a steam up. Frank steaming "Jake" as he talks with Andy Yedlick by one of the steaming bays.
Dick Clark running on the mainline by Short as he heads westbound out of town.... A short time later Tom Reder passed by the same location with his engine and is all smiles as I snapped this photo.
With Dicks' boxcab sitting in the siding by the station, Paul Emch tops off the air tank pressure for the brakes before taking some guests for a ride. Scott departing the station with another load of passengers as he heads out westbound.
Okay, I know that there was a fire in the firebox, but where did that mouse crawl to up under there? Dick getting ready to take his boxcab, that he built, for another run.
The sidings up at the station all have equipment in them as they wait to be called upon to power a ride for passengers or their owner. A different view of four of the tracks with trains on them.
Dick powering up and just starting to move with Ron Trenhaile riding behind him. Mike Harkleroad, running the Camelback, leaving Shriver Station with a trainload of guests.
Ted Nyland running his American steam engine as he passes by the steaming bays heading down the mainline. Speaking of the steaming bays, it looks like East Wind threw in the hat! or at least capped off his stack.
Maybe this is to keep him from blowing his stack...or just to keep the rain out...but it's not supposed to rain today. Tom getting ready for another run out on the mainline with Bonnie Zaken as a passenger as Dick Clark watches.
Scott running through the switches as he heads for the mainline with his passengers. We invited Cub Scout Pack 306 to our Club Run and Skip Frank gave a talk and demonstration of the workings of a steam locomotive for them.
The cub scouts and their family were invited to the steaming bays where Skip had his engine blocked up off the rails just enough to run the engine on air from the steaming bay while he described the different parts of the engine and what they do.
While he described the engine parts the drivers were turning and they could see close up how the side rods on the wheels gave the engine motion. A steam engine coming in to the station provided a temporary distraction.
Frank on a adjacent steaming bay watches the gauges on Jake, his 2-6-0 steamer. When Skip during his talk moves to the cab of the engine, it means he is about to blow the steam whistle on "Lynn"and he warns them that they might want to cover their ears.
Club members and family members of Cub Scout Pack 306 seem to enjoy the demonstration put on by Skip, especially the whistle. With the conclusion of the talk they where told they could ride the trains.
Ethan Deptowicz at the controls of the hand cart explaining how to operate it and not to go too fast. After the presentation Amy and John Deptowicz talked to some of the parents of the kids.
