Judy Oscker, Bonnie Zaken and Edith Hacker check over some more items to be displayed in the woods for the run. Before the start of the run Anna Zorko, Jennifer Zorko, Bonnie Zaken and Roberta Uhrich took time out for a group photo.
Ron Trenhaile in his prison garb poses with Roberta, in her witches costume, before we get started with this night run. The crew started a fire in the fire ring and Greg Guy, tending the fire, is talking with Andy Yedlick and Valerie Bilchak as they absorb the warmth from the fire.
John Koontz, engineer of the Park engine, departs Shriver Station with the first load of passengers with Steve Zaken as his conductor. Harry Tabor, running the club's GP38, departs the station with a full load of passengers with Valerie as his conductor
Ron Malinowski, with is electric powered switcher, heads out on his first run of the evening for this night run. Don Speidel with his gas powered New York Central SW9 switcher leaving the station with his passengers.
Having just passed through Zip Junction, Skip Frank with his Columbia steam engine named "Lynn" heads for Horrendous. Dick Clark just emerged from the Covered Bridge and heads for Zip Junction with his passengers and Logan Tapolyai is his conductor on this cool night.
As they approach Horrendous we can see some of the decorations in the woods with this giant spider and web. Skip emerges from the Truss Bridge which is the lowest point on our railroad elevation wise, as he heads for Mackey's Run.
Don coasting down the grade from Hilton passes through Gulch on his way to Fern and the Truss Bridge. Dick passing over Big Wash Bridge with Logan as his conductor as they head for Hilton.
Ted Nyland with his pair of interurbans after climbing the 3 1/2+ percent grade up from Patty's rock Bridge approaches High Creeek. Skip, who is running a distance behind Ted, will soon be passing through High Creek in less than a minute.
Dave Woldman who is running the club's switcher is passing through Horrendous as he heads for Filmor. Ron passes under our signal bridge, which still needs the signal lights, is heading for Horrendous.
Don arriving at Horrendous as he passes under the signal bridge with Terin Hillger as his conductor. Next to pass through Horrendous is Richard Sales riding in front of his engine and the booster car behind him.
Ted arriving at Horrendous with his smiling passengers who are obviously enjoying the ride. Roberta holding James Uhrich by the station watching the trains arriving.
Amy Deptowicz "trying a new pair of eyes" to see how she looks as Logan gets the straps cinched up in a straight jacket by Ron. Skip had arrivied at the station and unloaded his riders as Dave pulls up on track #2 with his passengers.
Dick near the start of his run as he passes the turnout for Short and heads down the mainline, heading for Drugery. Almost at the same location but from the other side of the tracks, Jen Zorko is running her Dad's Morris switcher named the "FireBall Express"
John waits for Greg to finish loading his train with passengers and the "All Aboard" signal before moving the train. Amy seems to have a problem with her right eye looking to the stars but it's easy to correct.
Greg Guy took it one step farther (no hands) but seems to have a weak eye....at least he won't trip over anything as he has everything covered, vision wise. Skip feeds the firebox after unloading riders while Amy hands out candy for the riders.
Amy with the bucket of candy waits for the next group of riders who are leaving Ron Malinowski's train. Dave waits to be loaded as Jen gives a wave while Paul Emch assists a rider getting situated on the car.
Greg giving riding instructions to the passengers on John's train as he will soon depart the station. Marie Nyland wasn't able to make the pumpkin carving session Wednesday so she is creating her masterpiece now during the run.
Harry with Valerie as his conductor wait for Greg to finish loading the train. At this time Mike Uhrich was our passenger counter for the Park but sitting where he is, he is prone to the smoke from the fire ring
The end of the line of passengers is near and a few more trains will carry these riders. Roberta and Amy in conversation as they wait for the trainloads of riders to return to Shriver Station.
Jen with the Fireball Express just returned to the station and the passengers off load from the train. Skip coasting to a stop at the station will be assisted in the unloading of his train by Roberta.
Marie's pumpkin that she has been carving tonight is decorated with gum drops on tooth picks in the openings of the pumpkin to resemble flowers in the grass. Here it is being illuminated by a candle inside.
