Judy Oscker and Bonnie Zaken reading the changes in the guideline book for Penitentiary Glen Reservation as George Metts and Wayne Boron enjoy a coffee break. Looking East down the tracks at Frank Foti astride East Wind as Chris and Dena Cooper head in towards the station.
Bob Craig brought his diesel powered engine that he has finished detailing and it looks great. Paul Zorko is all smiles departing Shriver Station as he begins another run with his Fire Ball Express.
Paul Emch, who will be giving up the club presidential reins to the newly elected president tonight, departs the station with his Nickel Plate Railroad SW9. Ken Brooks had his steeplecab electric powered engine on the siding alongside of our steamers ash dump pit.
Chris Cooper brought his scratch-built electric powered diesel switcher lettered for the Pennsylvania Railroad. Josh Frank double heading, using George Metts military engine, with Mike Harkleroad using Don Spiedel's SW9 as they have 20 cars in a consist counting the two engineer cars they are riding on.
The long train as it passes by the photographer with the cars rolling thru a set of switches. Ken Brooks waits with his train as the long train ahead takes the switch to the yard behind the Willis Car Barn.
As Ken heads for the mmainline we pass Dick Clark as he takes the Ted's Connection turnoff near Drudgery with his SW1500. Ron Malinowski had his control car on the lift and was putting his train away as he had to leave early.
Passing Dick on the grade crossing as we approach Zip Junction after traveling thru Horrendous. Coming into Shriver Station westbound, we passed Chris and Dena running eastbound out of the station.
Sitting in front of the station, Dick arrived running eastbound pausing brieftly before starting another run. A study of Dick's concentration as he advances the throttle on his engine, gaining speed as he heads out.
Ken, squinting in the sun, is getting ready for another run as he waits for traffic to clear the switches ahead of him. With his passengers all aboard and his wife Belinda giving a wave, Ken starts moving down the track.
Josh checks the traffic ahead as he and Mike, doubleheading, approach the station with their long train. Bob Craig, running eastbound, passes by their train as he comes into the station with his nicely detailed and lettered engine and control car.
Ted Nyland with his interurbans after pulling into the station waits for the long train ahead to gain some distance from him before he starts out. Ken departing with his passengers as Josh and Mike arrive at the station running eastbound.
Ted works on his American steam engine up on a steaming bay preparing to get the engine under steam for running it. Skip Frank's Columbia engine he named "Lynn" after his wife, sits on another steaming bay waiting the be steamed up.
Dick passes through Zip Junction as he heads towards Horrendous with his train. A view of the activity at the yards behind the Willis Car Barn and the Stanek Car Barn as we pass by running on the mainline.
Dick passing over the Big Bend Bridge encounters Chris and Dena running in the oposite direction. Emerging from the Covered Bridge I caught Ken's grandson, Ryan Thomas as engineer, running Grampa's train with Ken and Belinda riding behind him.
As we headed down the grade towards Gulch we passed Chris and Dena one more time as they climbed the grade on the adjacent track, having just passed through Gulch. Ken, in the distance, reaches for the signal post switch to acquire the signal for his block as we cross Cheat Bridge heading for Bruce.
Ryan with Grampa Ken have just left Shriver Station eastbound as we pass by them. Frank, having already dropped his ashes at the ash dump, is blowing the ash dust out of East Wind's firebox.
Arriving back at the station, we pass Ted eastbound as he departs for another run. Chris and Dena arrive at the station as East Wind, in the background, is in the process of blowing down his steam pressure.
East Wind during the blow down with his smoke box door open so the boiler tubes can be cleaned. Members start loading their plates with food at the Lake Front Lodge in Willoughby.
The line forms at the right as the members waiting their turn to load their plates. A view of the dining area at some of the attendees, some still eating and others finished.
The right side of the room as the members wait for the meeting and the election of some officers to begin. While waiting for the meeting to start, I took this picture of the setting sun.
