Public Run - 5/22/16


Paul Zorko with his Fire Ball Express departs the station with one of the first trains out today. Dave Woldman running the club's GP38 looks back over his trainload of passengers as he slowly starts his train rolling.
Skip Frank heads for his bucket of coal for "Lynn" as Ken Vendlinger with his train pulls up to the loading area. Kenny with his passengers heads out for his first run of the day.
As Greg Guy gives the passengers our riding instructions Skip is ready to advance the throttle on his steamer "Lynn". Joe Vasko passes by with his Chessie engine and his passengers as he heads for Drudgery.
Frank Foti with East Wind pounding the rails as they pass thru Zip Junction on their way to Horrendous. Ted Nyland approaches Zip Junction with his pair of interurbans and passengers as they head for Cider Bridge.
Frank Smoley passes over the grade crossing after traveling thru the Truss Bridge on his way to Mackeys Run. Dick Clark with his SW1500 switcher passes by the same location and will soon start the grade up to the Big Bend Bridge.
Mike Harkleroad was the next train to pass by this location running the Nickel Plate Road switcher. Paul Emch approached this location a few minutes later with his riders.
Ted passing by with another load of passengers with his electric powered interurbans. John Riba was next to pass by with his electric powered unit that has sound and sounds good.
Frank passes by with East Wind, running with a light load, three passengers and a conductor. That conductor was no less a smiling Andy Yedlick taking care of business as conductor on Frank's train.
Dave coasts down the grade as he approaches Filmor with the GP38 and passengers. With a wave from in front of his horses and a mighty "HI Yo Silver" (the horses are in the boxcar), Ken starts down grade towards Filmor.
Skip approaches the photographers location at Filmor with his passengers as he makes his way down the grade to Patty's Rock Bridge. Joe was next to approach my vantage point with his trainload of passengers.
Frank passed by next and his conductor for this run is Wayne Boron as the train headed for Filmor. Mr. & Mrs. Nyland, better known as Ted and Marie, traveling thru Horrendous with their passengers, will soon start down the grade towards Filmor.
Dave having just left Shriver Station with his trainload of riders negotiates the switches to get on the main line. Young Josh Frank stands in the background as Lou DeLembo talks with our passenger counter today, Bill Besselman.
Frank with Andy on the rear leaving Shriver Station, as they head out on their next run. Dick waiting for Greg to give the "All Aboard!" after loading his train before he moves it.
Rosemary, our liasion person with the Park, is all smiles as Dick's train starts moving. Josh watches the loading with Lew Fowler taking rider count as Frank waits for Greg to give the "All Aboard!" call.
Three trains at Shriver Station, with Skip and Ken waiting for their passengers to disembark as John behind them approaches the unloading area. John at the unloading area where Anna Zorko aides the riders.
Frank pulling into the station with East Wind and Jen Zorko is aiding the passengers at the unloading area. Ken advances the speed control and starts moving down mainline track No. 1 with his passengers.
Dick checks the air pressure on his gauges and will shortly be on his way for his next run. Back in front of the station, Paul rolls to a stop with his NKP Hudson engine to unload passengers.
After unloading his passengers, Skip waits for them to clear the track ahead before moving his train. Ted coasting to a stop with his passengers as he arrives back at Shriver Station.
Joe slowly coasts to a stop in front of Anna as she watches the passengers who seem to really enjoy the ride. John showing a young rider the control box for his engine and offering the young lad a chance to blow the horn.
Frank arriving back at the station with his passengers as we near the end of the run. Marie Nyland(center w/dark sweat shirt) brought plants from her yard and offered them to the public and answered questions about the plants.
