Club Run - 6/25/16

Sitting in front of Shriver Station are Kitty Shriver, Jen Zorko and her mother Anna Zorko along with Judy Oscker. Ken Vendlinger's train Westbound in front of the station as Dick Clark arrives running Eastbound.
Dick arriving back with Steve and Bonnie Zaken, Lew Fowler, Marie Nyland and George Metts in front of the station. As Steve stood there Lew boarded Dick's train as John Riba passed by the station running Eastbound with his train.
Cory Guy as engineer of the GP38 arriving back at the station with his dad Greg and his sister Carley riding behind him. Dick pulling into the station eastbound and that's Skip Frank sitting on the bench at the station.
Just had to get a picture of Lew Fowler with his new shades. A short while later and a smiling Ken Vendlinger arrived back at the station.
Ken Brooks with his electric steeplecab engine rolls into the station at the end of his run. Greg Guy stops at the station with the club's GP38 and talks with his son Cory.
Next to arrive back at the station is Richard Sales with his scratch-built electric powered engine which he also radio-controlled. Greg looks over his shoulder to check the trainload of cub scouts before departing the station.
Amy Deptowicz and her son Austin Tapolyai watch the train leaving and on the end John Deptowicz is the conductor. Skip Frank, Amy and Austin at the station after the train departed.
Out in the Orchard Yard I found Don Speidel sitting on Steve Zaken's Good-N-Plenty train watching the trains arriving back at the station. Kenny just passing thru Pandora rounds the curve as he heads for Shoe.
Judson Elliott passes by after crossing over Cider Bridge and seems emersed in his run. After passing thru Horrendous with his trainload of passengers, Greg rumbles over the grade crossing as he makes his way to Zip Junction.
Ted Nyland has his American steam locomotive up on a steaming bay filling the tender and boiler with water. John Deptowicz had his Snoopy train out and passengers were loading to take a ride.
John Deptowicz looks over the loading of his passengers as the GP38 alongside of him will be first to pull away from the station. The GP38 is starting to roll and a last minute picture is taken.
John gets ready to move Snoopy to the mainline as the club engine gains momentom. Judson answers questions from one of the cub scouts before he finally departs the station.
John with his trainload of cub scouts and his son Ethan as conductor on the rear, take time out for a picture. Scott Hewis passes by the station with his passengers, Paul Emch and John Riba.
Frank Smoley with his wife Lois riding behind him emerge from our Covered Bridge as they head for Zip Junction. John Riba with his GP9 and Paul as he heads for Cider Bridge on his way back in towards the station.
Steve Zaken with his Good-N-Plenty train and his rider Dave Cryor as they pass by the same location. Next to come by is Frank with Lois and his guests as he motors back to the station.
A guest of Ken, Joe Greden is engineer of the steeplecab as he runs by the station westbound. Dick Clark and Andy Yedlick share a bench in front of Shriver Station presumably talking about trains.
With Ken's Reading engine parked in front of the station, I snapped this shot as Joe motored past the station eastbound. Sean Roberts with his family riding behind his boxcab engine arrives back at the station.
Ted and Marie Nyland arriving at the station with his American steam engine pulling his non-powered interurban. Austin Tapolyai in front of Shriver Station enjoying the trains as they pass by is all smiles.
Now we see Ted running his interurbans with the tender from his American steam engine sandwiched in between the units. Riding with Ted, we waited for Ken to clear the block for High Creek so we could acquire the signal.
After passing by Zip Junction we are about to run through the Covered Bridge as we head for Pandora and the Big Bend Bridge. Marie Nyland is our "resident" horticulturist that keeps our grounds planted with flora and this is a "working" picture.
