Work Session - 9/07/16

The size and shape of the pond in the childrens play area is showing with the progress that the Park crew made with excavation. A view looking north from the end of the pond area.
The excavator dug out the area and dumped the dirt off to the side and the dozer pushed it up on the embankment to make it higher. Teamwork, working together.
Ken Vendlinger using the weed whip to cut the grass around the base of the railing posts, takes time out for this picture. It's back to work cutting the grass.....Ken's a good worker and he is very much appreciated.
The piece of 2x12 we used for the base of the seat on the control car split right through the bolt holes for the seat and Ron Trenhaile, Frank Smoley and Wayne Boron address the problem. Wayne checking the hole distance on the seat.
The control car minus the seat mounting board. The control car (engineers car) is for the club engine and we have a run this coming weekend so it needs to be fixed.
This time the support for the seat mount is going to be 3/4 inch plywood instead so the board won't have a weak axis. Wayne and Frank bolt the riding seat back in place to complete the repair.
The foot peg mount got bent again so Wayne is checking it out. Frank getting ready to lubricate the chains on the GP38 club engine.
Frank spraying the chains on the front truck. Frank getting the chain lube sprayed onto the drive chain on the rear truck.
