Public Run - 10/03/16


Ken Brooks is our loader today for the public run as Ted Nyland with his pair of interurbans waits to be finished loading. Bill Besselman, seated behind the train, is our passenger counter as Paul Zorko gets his train in motion as he starts his run.
Dave Woldman with his RS3 diesel engine pulls away from the loading area with his passengers. Dick Clark with his SW1500 diesel engine is given the "All Aboard" call to move his trainload of passengers.
Frank Foti advances the throttle on East Wind at the beginning of his run with his Pullman and Southern Pacific passenger cars. John Deptowicz and his Snoopy train is about to leave Shriver Station on his next run with the theme music of Snoopy playing.
Paul Emch and his Nickel Plate Road switcher departs the station with a trainload of passengers on this sunny day. John Reba with the club's GP38 passes by the steaming bays near the beginning of his run as he heads for Short.
Ted with another load of passengers on mainline track No 2 runs to the switch that will shuttle him and his interurbans to track No 1. Dave and his diesel engine gives a wave as his train gaines speed as he departs Shriver Station.
Renee Czak, conductor on Frank's train, talks with Judy Oscker who is helping with assisting at the unloading area as the trains come back to the station. Two old timers in our club with years of experience, Bill Besselman and Don Spiedel.
Frank and East Wind, just passed over Festival Bridge as he heads for the station with his passengers as Dick in the background with his train are about to pass thru the Covered Bridge. At least he is all smiles as he enters the curve on the backside of the station.

Dave emerges from the Covered Bridge and starts up the slight grade to Zip Junction. Paul with his passengers will soon be passing over Cider Bridge as he makes his way back to the station.
Ron Malinowski, engineer of the Parks engine, is about to enter the Covered Bridge as he passes by Shoe. Ted as he approaches Cider Bridge is nearing the end of his run with his family of riders.
Skip Frank with his steam engine named "Lynn" emerges from the shadowy depths of the Covered Bridge as he heads for Zip Junction. Frank Smoley was next to emerge from the Covered Bridge with his train.
Frank with his long train on the grade to Zip Junction after passing through the Covered Bridge. Paul at Zip Junction just passed over the grade crossing for the Park Access road is running westbound.
Skip after unloading the passengers from his train, waits for traffic ahead to clear so he can pull up to the loading area. Paul rolls to a stop as Dave Hird gets ready to assist with the unloading of Paul's train.
After John arrived at the station he takes time to capture the event of the ride for the passengers of his train with their camera. Skip as he is about to pass over Cider Bridge with his passengers who seem to be enjoying the ride.
The next train passes by and the dark shadows in the woods along with not using the flash giving a blurred photo. In the distance we see the Yellow Park engine easily taking the grade up to Zip Junction as it heads for Horrendous.
Bill Deptowicz as he arrives back at Shriver Station with the Snoopy train. Frank arriving at the station with his trainload of passengers as the run draws to a close today.
