East Wind under steam sits on a siding in front of the steaming bays waiting for the Public Run to start today. We know we have had snakes in the Willis Car Barn but a big snake, over five feet long left this skin which is hanging from the rafter
Ted Nyland is taking his wife, Marie, out to her beds she planted with her supplies on their interurbans. Marie and Ted are going to set a line over one rail so that a angle of the crossing can be determined for making one out of rail.
Ken Brooks gives a wave as he heads back into Shriver Station with some club family members getting a ride before the run starts. Ron Malinowski with his Roll Models electric switcher passes by with his first load of passengers today.
John Deptowicz and his Snoopy train passes by Pandora as he heads for Shoe. Just coming off the Big Bend Bridge is Paul Zorko with his Fire Ball Express and load of passengers.
Dave Woldman running lite with his RS3 diesel is taking his mandatory equipment checkout run before hauling passengers. Frank Foti and East Wind just coming off the Big Bend Bridge as he heads for Pandora.
Ted as motorman on his interurbans with his passengers, is little over the halfway point on the Big Bend Bridge. Paul Emch running his NKP Hudson engine as he passes through Ridgeway westbound.
Ken and the club's GP38 has just passed by Mackey's Run with a trainload of passengers. Ron heading for Ridgeway after climbing the slight grade from the road crossing.
John Riba and his GP9 emerges from the Covered Bridge with his train as he heads for Zip Junction. Dick Clark with his SW1500 switcher passes thru the Covered Bridge and starts the grade up to Zip Junction.
Ted on tk. 2 takes the switch to cross over to the mainline as he starts his next run leaving the station with smiling passengers. Bill Deptowicz at the controls of Snoopy giving his son John a chance to stretch his legs an take some pictures.
Roberta Uhrich is too happy, wonder what's in the popcorn?, as she waits for the next train to arrive to assist in unloading. Ted starts another run with his passengers as John waits to move the Snoopy train to the loading area.
John leaving Shriver Station with a load of smiling passengers on the Snoopy train. At the station, East Wind is laying down the smoke for his contribution to mosquito control and Anna Zorko watches riders board the train as she keeps rider count today.
Roy conferes with Paul about how he loaded the train before Paul departs the station. While Roy gives the passengers riding instructions, Frank stokes the firebox with coal too keep East winds steam pressure up.
Jerry Bell on the Park's engine, talks with Ken while waiting for Roy to finish loading the train. Given the "All Aboard!" call Jerry puts the big engine in motion as he departs the station with a trainload of riders.
East Wind must be hungry as Frank is feeding him again as Paul watches the loading of his train. Paul is all smiles as he opens the throttle and starts to gain speed with the train leaving Shriver Station.
From the look of the young girl, Paul should of passed the smile to the little girl behind him. John notches up the throttle on his electric powered GP9 and starts to gain speed with his train.
Dave arrives back at the station to unload passengers as he pulls alongside of Ron who has already unloaded his riders. Paul Zorko smiles as he waits for Roberta to take pictures of the riders with their phone.
As Dick's train unloads he gets a smooch and a hug from his daughter as John with the Snoopy train unloads on the adjacent track. Dick with his daughter, Brigette Fiorille take time for a picture together.
With the Public riders done, Dave looks to Roy who has loaded Park employees on his train, waiting for permission to move his train for his next run. Given the "All Aboard!" call, Dave starts his run.
Ted reaches for the switch controller at the station as he and Marie go for a ride before they put the train away. Dick, with no more riders to run, heads down the mainline with his train just to enjoy himself.
The crew relaxing at the station after the Public Run finished today. Frank takes on water in East Winds tender because he is going to make a few more trips around our track.
