Mitch and Michelle Lane start to remove the tiedowns on the engine in preparation to loading it on the scissor lift and onto a steaming bay. Ken Brooks, our club vice president, taking his first load out with the clubs GP38 with Taren Hillger as his conductor riding on the rear car.
Frank Foti, Michelle and Mitch check over the engine on a steaming bay as steam pressure builds in the boiler. Paul Emch is engineer of his Nickel Plate Road switcher just put his train in motion for his first run of the day.
Dick Clark with his SW 1500 diesel switcher powered train departs the station with a full load of passengers. Ron Malinowski checks over air pressure after being given the clearance to start is run.
Ken Vendlinger is all smiles sitting behind the controls of the Reading switcher as he waits for Jen Zorko with her "All aboard!" call out after loading the riders. Anna Zorko is our passenger counter for today's run.
Jen Zorko waits for a train to clear the switch to hit the remote controller to set the track for the mainline again. Paul Zorko has taken on a load of passengers and has just opened the throttle and is gaining some speed as he heads down the mainline.
Richard Sales and his passengers depart the station with his train powered by his scratch built engine. Ken has taken on another load of passengers and is starting down the mainline on another run.
John Riba with his Norfolk Southern diesel starts down the main and that's Lou DeLembo as his conductor on the rear. Dick Scott is engineer with the Park engine after having just departed the station with his riders.
Paul departing the station with his train loaded with kids and a father who are all smiles. Dave Woldman's train has just been loaded with passengers and he has been given the all clear to move his train for his next run. .
Richard Sales has taken on a family of riders and is just starting to move down mainline No. 2. Trains arriving back at the station, where the riders are encouraged to take their pictures with their cameras aided by our members who help with the unloading of the trains.
John as he rolls into the station at the end of his run will soon be unloading his passengers. Paul having just passed over Festival Bridge is on the backside of the station as he nears the end of his run.
Ken with his two riders approaches the Covered Bridge as he nears the midway point of the ride. John with his passengers coming off the Big Bend Bridge as he heads for Pandora and points West.
A few minutes later Paul with his train just started across the Big Bend Bridge. Dick with his riders has just passed Mackeys Run as he heads for the Big Bend bridge.
Dick Clark leaving the station with his train as Ken pulls in and applies the brakes to stop his train at the loading area. Ken has been given the clearance to depart the station and is about to release the brakes on the train to put the big engine in motion.
John departing Shriver Station with his passengers as Dick pulls up to the loading area with his train. Paul moved up to the loading area and is waiting for Dick to depart the station with his train load of passengers.
Mitch is blowing down his steam pressure on his engine as he prepares to clean it up before taking it home. Paul is all smiles, I guess he's still having fun and 99% of the engineers running the trains are having fun. The 1% are those wishing for a pitstop.
Paul departs the station with a full load of youngsters and Kitty Shriver is his conductor for this run. Kitty is all smiles as she passes the photographer on her way out on to the mainline with the train.
Dave starts his next run as he heads down mainline track number one. As Kenny passes the photographer he gives a wave, this is one member that really enjoys running the train.
Dick Clark starts his next run with a train load of passengers as he departs the station. Jen has loaded John's train to capacity with passengers and he's heading down the track starting his next run.
Dick Scott starts out for his next run and the line is getting shorter up at the loading area for the public waiting to ride. Paul smiles at a remark as he leaves Shriver station for his next run.
Ken puts the GP38 in motion which will probably be his last run for the day with the public riders. Tom Pappas, acting in the conductor capacity, looks over the train load of passengers before it departs the station.
