Work Session - 8/22/18

Ken bought 4 x 8' sheets of chipboard to make forms for bridge foundations but the rain this morning kept us from working on them, but finally it stopped raining. The steam vapor from the hot shingles of the storage barn immediately after the rain stopped.
Wayne Boron and Frank Smoley were cleaning the drains trying to get the water out of the area. After figuring out how many panels we could get out of a sheet by cutting it into strips, John Koontz was checking measurements.
Ron Trenhaile was holding down the panels along with Dick Scott as John measured the length to be cut. John cutting the panels for the length of the forms with the saw.
Still had another panel to rip into strips as the guys held it down. John running the saw down the panel.
With all the pieces cut we carried them into the switch shed to start the assembly of the form boxes. With Ken holding the board in position, John uses the air nailer gun to fasten the sides to the 2" x 4" stakes.
We had cut two by fours and tapered the ends for driving into the rocky ground back there at the bridge site. Well we're almost finished with the first box, only three more to go.
The four boxes are done and standing on the short side. Looking down through the boxes, but it's such a mudhole down at the bridge site that we're done for today as it's starting to sprinkle rain again.
