Frank and Ken, using our railroad tie tongs, are holding up the end of the beam for John to put the shims underneath the end. You can see where the crew last week laid concrete blocks with mortar in place to bring up the height of the foundation. |

Using a pair of the railroad tongs the crew carries a railroad tie to place it on the piers. Setting the tie in its tentative position so we can get the tongs off of the beam. |
