Public Run - 10/07/18

.
It rained during the night and early morning, but cleared out enough for our run as Dick Scott takes out his first load of passengers with the clubs GP38. Ken Brooks departs the station with his Morris engine that he recently acquired.
Frank Smoley pulling out of the siding by the station will take the loop around Shriver station and pick up passengers. John Koontz running the Park engine starts his first run of the day.
Jen Zorko, our club president, is our train loader on this foggy afternoon making sure the trains are loaded properly and giving riding instruction to the public. Ken just starts to put his train in motion after getting the "All aboard!" call.
Ted Nyland and his pair of interurban's departing the station with his passengers. Frank Foti with East Wind approaches the loop around the station as he nears the end of his run.
Dick passing through Thorn with his passengers and he will soon be back at Shriver station. With the cooler air today and the fog that settled in, the steamers exhaust really shows up as Mitch Lane departs the station with his Pacific.
Mitch's passengers seem to be all smiles even though their riding through that exhaust vapor. Frank waiting as his passengers depart his train and the safety vents on East Winds boiler.
I don't think I'd want to go anywhere with this guy as engineer, it might be a one-way trip. It's a foggy dreary day today, as Ken is about to leave the station on his next trip.
After unloading his charge of passengers, Ted moves up to the loading zone with his interurban's. Mitch with his Pacific as he heads down the mainline near Drudgery with his passengers and Michelle Lane is his conductor.
Dave Wollman on the mainline as he approaches Hemlock and will soon start the grade down to Fern. John is engineer of the Park engine as he heads down the grade towards Gulch proceeding West.
Ted as he goes down the grade from Hilton with his passengers as he heads for Fern and points West. Ken as he climbs the grade up from Patty's Rock Bridge is at Gulch and will next be passing through High Creek.
John at Gulch climbing the grade up to High Creek with his trainload of passengers. Dick with the GP38 coasting down the grade at Gulch will soon pass Hilde Hill on his way to Fern.
Dave at the bottom of the hill is just crossing over Patties Rock Bridge and soon will be assaulting the grade up to Gulch. Frank at the same location but viewed from the opposite side of the track as he coasts down the grade from Filmor.
Ken coasts downgrade passing Hilde Hill heading towards Fern and the Truss Bridge. Dave approaches with another load of passengers as he passes through Fern
Frank approaching Truss Bridge with his passengers and Valerie Bilchak is his conductor riding on the rear car. Dick gives a wave as he passes by the same location heading west with his passengers.
Mitch with his Pacific coming off the Truss Bridge in a cloud of exhaust vapor must have a hard time seeing where he is going. I guess it's difficult to see his passengers too as they emerge off of the bridge.
Frank departs the station with whistle blowing as East Wind starts to gain speed. Dave's train has been loaded with a new group of passengers and he's ready to depart the station and we can see the end of the line of passengers waiting to ride.
Michelle and Mitch Lane after dropping the fire in the Pacific's firebox working together to get the engine ready for the trip home. As the trains come into the station Linda Harris and Valerie Bilchak helped with the unloading of passengers.
Frank in conversation with some of the passengers that have gotten off his train as many head for the exit. Frank back on East Wind cracks open the throttle to move the train forward to load another train load of passengers.
Renée Czeck, Frank Foti's sister, is his usual conductor when running his passenger train and gives a wave as she passes by the photographer. Dick waits for his train to unload his passengers as Linda watches the proceedings.
Wayne Boron and Judy Oscker sitting in front of the station watching as the trains arrive and depart and the end of today's run is near. A guy snaps a photo of his family as the train passes by on one of the last runs of the day.
