Valerie Bilchak and Kitty Shriver in the kitchen where some of the goodies from the members are amassing that are going to be available for our dinner tonight. Andy Yedlick is cooking the sausages on the grill as Mike Uhrich enjoys a cup of soup.
When you have a suspended grill it's better to cut the sausages in half to keep them from rolling off into the fire. Renée Czeck working on the rear car of Frank's Foti's East Wind passenger train adding lights.
On the steaming bays, three steamers with two of them with a fire in a firebox in the process of raising steam in the boiler. The miniature set of lights that Renée added to the hand rail on the rear passenger car.
Two of the engines on the steaming bays really making smoke as the pressure builds in the boilers. Jennifer Zorko is all eyes tonight so be careful, she's going to be keeping an eye on you as she loads the trains with passengers tonight.
As Ron Malinowski waits for his train to be loaded Ken Brooks starts his first run of the evening. With passengers on board, Ron puts his train in motion to start his first run of the evening.
John Koontz, engineer of the park engine, waits for Jen to finish 2with the riding instructions to his passengers before departing Shriver Station. Frank Smoley gives a smile as he advances the throttle on his engine and departs the station with his train gaining speed.
Renee with her lighted LED headgear for the evening's run will be the conductor on Frank's train. Lou DeLembo and Ben Roberts sitting at the station as Sean Roberts sitting astride his Shay he has under construction, is about to advance the throttle.
Ted arriving back at the unloading area with his interurbans as John Deptowicz assists with the unloading of the riders. Mitch Lane arriving back in front of the station with his Pacific steam engine will shortly be unloading his passengers.
Up on a steaming bay, Karl Losely is lubricating the running gear on his big Hudson steam engine. Ken departing Shriver station with another load of passengers as he heads off into the darkness of night.
Frank has just finished unloading his passengers at the station as John pulls in alongside on track No.2 to unload his riders. Jen takes time to take a picture of the riders with their phone camera.
Jen watches as a train departs the station with Trish Koontz as conductor riding on the rear. Paul Zorko arrives at the station, with the club's GP38, as Dick Scott walks to the engine to take over engineer duties.
Sean arriving back at the station with his engine rolls to a stop to let his passengers unload from his train. Sean's passengers look like they enjoyed the ride, riding through the woods and seeing all the pumpkins that we carved, lit up with candles.
John assisting the family by taking their picture on the train after they come back into the station. Frank's train has been loaded with passengers and after giving two blasts of East Wind's whistle, he advances the throttle and puts the train into motion.
Sean gives his engines gauges a once over as he departs the station and on the rear, his train conductor is Dennis Crislip. Some of the action at the unloading area in front of the station as the kids were welcome to have some candy that was offered at the end of the ride.
A group of ladies just coming back from the ride and they are all smiles as a friend takes pictures of them. Quite a few of the youngsters were costumed for the occasion in keeping with the theme of Halloween.
Trish as conductor on the train her husband John is running looks cold as she tries to keep warm. Frank waits for John to take a picture of the passengers on his train before they unload.
Roger Harnish and Robbie Haines take time out for a photo together and as information, both are life members of the club. Ken has taken on a load of passengers and is just advancing the throttle to depart Shriver Station.
Mitch Lane, with his Pacific steam engine, stops at the loading area to take on more passengers. Mike Dahlhausen, Mike Uhrich and Andy Yedlick sit between the fire pit and the station reminiscing about the old days.
John Koontz's train departing the station, off on another run through the enchanted forest filled with goblins and spirits and carved pumpkins. Ted waits for Jen to finish with the riding instructions and he will depart the station.
It's starting to rain as Dick Scott pulls away from the station with his passengers. Ryan and Maddy Zorko, bundled up against the cold and light rain we were experiencing, helped pass out candy as the riders came back into the station.
