Hobo Stew - 10/20/18

Judy Oscker and Frank Smoley in the station trying to get warm. Dick Scott, at extreme right of picture, took charge of the hobo stew dinner cooking in the cauldron over the fire for our group before tonight's Whooloween Run.
They say a watched pot doesn't boil but this one didn't have a chance with the wood fire going beneath it. Storm clouds are moving in on the area which may be affecting our run tonight.
Looking to the north it doesn't look that bad, but to the East it's a different story. Dick Scott, Frank Foti and Ken Brooks at the station watching the weather.
It's 4:45 PM and the crew in front of the station are starting to wonder if were going to have a run tonight due to weather conditions. Valerie Bilchak with a ladle checking the soup in the cauldron.
A view looking into the cauldron with all the meat and potatoes on the bottom, the cabbage and carrots near the top and it's been announced it is ready to eat. Some of the crew digging in and loading up their plates.
It's after five and everyone sitting down and enjoying the food. Is it good? From all the smiles on their faces I would have to say yes, but we've been informed by the Park that due to the lightning storm that's moving in on the area the run for tonight is canceled.
