3.07.07 Work Session

Frank Foti stops the spindle to check the test cut on the foot of the rail. George Davidson, Rick Nagy and Dick Clark look over the progress made as Frank and Lew in background work with the mill.
Frank running the mill as Lew sprays a mist of coolant on the cutting tool. We marked the guard rails with an identifying mark so at the next session they will be welded into the proper position.
Rick is using a file to remove any burrs on the end of the rail after milling. Rick and Frank checking the fit of the guard rail as Dick and Lew watch.
Rick filing a burr to get the proper spacing against the mainline rail. Dick marking off the angle on the last piece of guard rail to be milled.
The finished 57 degree crossing ready to have the guard rails welded in place. It's past the end of the shift so we will have to wait till the next session to get a welder.
