Spring Club Run - 4/11/09

The electric Motor Cab built by George Davidson has another new owner, Ken Brooks and will shortly be seen running around our track again. Bill D. was riding with Ted Nyland as he tried out the new motors he installed in his interurban.
This Spring day for our first club run was definitely on the cool side so the guys started a fire. Skip Frank and his grandson Josh Frank are about to leave the station with "Lynn" and the circus train.
George Metts brought Toby with the circus car with animals and had it out back of the station. Marty Pinkston is getting more wood from Dick Schmidt's train for the fire.
Richard Sales tries to keep warm by the fire as Skip sits astride his tender in the background. I think Dick Schmidt has endured all the cold that he wants to and is going to put his equipment away.
George Woodling just coming off the Branch Line at the end of our yard is all bundled up against the cold. Sean Roberts brought his Box cab and was enjoying the days run.
As I rode the Snoopy train we passed George at Filmor as he headed for Horrendous. Amy and Ethan Deptowicz on the Snoopy train bundled up but still enjoying the ride.
Judson Elliott and his family are heading back to the station after coming in from a ride. Marty Pinkston and Richard Sales at the station.
Sean with his passengers coming into Horrendous will soon pass us. Ron Trenhaile and Dick Philpott checked out the signal system to make sure everything was operating as it should be.
Wally Pausch waiting on the Branch Line for our train to clear the main at Filmor. Richard approaches on the adjacent track as we follow the others passing through Horrendous.
Rick Nagy operating "Big Red" on the Branch Line at where else but George's Big Rock. The guys are starting to call it quits for today because between the cold and the wind it is down right chilly today.
Richard and Marty doubleheading their trains as they head for the station after coming off the Branch Line. John Deptowicz unhooks the safety chains as his son Ethan patiently watches his Dad getting Snoopy ready for the ride home.
