4.12.06 Work Session

Dave Foster with his backpack blower clearing the tracks of the winter debris. Edith Hacker cleaning out the leaves from the swale at the drains under the tracks at Gooseneck.
Mark Ross getting gas for the club's hand held blower. Looking down at the clips that support the short section of rail for the transfer table lift for the elevated storage track.
This side clip needs replacing as the track section it supports can tip if ones not careful. The oposite side clip is much larger but could extend farther out from the end of the rail.
After grinding off the welds on the old clips George Metts and George Davidson clamp short sections of 2" channel to the ends. The ground clamp from the welder is attached.
George Metts arc welding the channels in place. The welding finished and just the slag needs to be chipped off the welds.
The welds are cleaned up and another task is finished. Mark working with the leaf blower behind the club station getting the leaves and twiggs off the rail.
George Davidson, Dick Clark and Frank Foti take a breather from clearing the track back in the woods at Horrendous.
