Spring Club Run

The day was cold and wet as Frank Fotis Pacific waited by the steaming bays. Jon Jaros brought his Northern that he just recently got up on steam and was anxious to try pulling a train.
Ken Brooks with the GP38 pulling into the station with Rick Nagy behind him. John Deptowicz assembling "Snoopy" dog house engine as his wife Amy watches the proceedure.
Riding on the Snoopy train we pass Frank Foti with with his "East Wind". Approaching the yard we see Jon has cut the cars off his train and backing down the track.
At Filmor we wait for the signal to clear as Richard Sales reaches for the signal post to trip the lever as he passes it. Jon has the Northern up on the steaming bay checking it over.
George Woodling is showing where he wants Frank Foti to stop his engine. Frank waits as Rowan Kramer, Ben and Cornelius Gould wait for George to board and brave the cold damp weather ride they are about to experience.
Marty Pinkston with his scratch-built box cab powered by wheel chair motors and gearboxes bundled up for the cold. As I waited for the block to clear at Horrendous, Frank just cleared the signal before I took the picture.
Richard Sales brought his new rider car he built as a companion piece to his engine. Richard with that laid back look must be enjoying the car.
Logan Tapolyai at the controls of Snoopy with his brother Austin and Ethan and John Deptowicz behind....must be cold. Johns new rider car, that was scratch-built by him, before it gets a safety inspection.
Sue Knox and Edith Hacker watch George Woodling play ball with Ethan Deptowicz in the warmth of the station. Logan, Ethan, Amy and Austin are of the few still running trains.
Jons Northern on the loading track as he is cutting off the cars. Kevin Harris checks the lift alignment to the loading track so the cars can be put away.
Jon is removing the ashes trying to drop the fire. Ken Brooks, Kevin Harris and Rick Nagy put away the Park engine as they wait for Jon.
Amy as engineer at Horrendous with the only train running as few brought their engines because of the rainy and cold weather. Austin with Snoopy train coming into the station.
Once on the lift Jon started the blowdown of his Northern which made for a great photo because of the cold weather. A closeup of the blowdown piping with the hiss of steam.
The engine is almost enveloped in steam vapors in this picture. It's getting near the end of the blowdown and the end of our club run which could have been better if the weather would have cooperated.
