Club Run/Dedication Ceremony - 4/12/14


After coming back into the station from his ride Rex was being assisted in getting off the train and back in his chair. Rex Shriver is all smiles as I think we made his day today by naming the station after him and his wife Kitty.
Those in attendance were waiting for the trains to start running so they could start riding trains. Ron departing the station for another run and his wife Noreen is sitting behind him with Kitty Shriver riding on the rear car.
Ken Brooks as he comes around the curve from Pandora heading for Shoe and the Covered Bridge with Brett Lane riding behind. Ken Vendlinger having passed over Cider Bridge gives a wave to the photographer with Ethan Deptowicz as his passenger.
Paul Zorko with his Fireball Express runs towards the photographer and Shoe. After passing through Zip Junction, Josh Frank running George Metts' gas powered military scratch-built engine is about to pass through Horrendous.
Paul Zorko arriving back at the station with another trainload of passengers. The group was enjoying the cake that Robbi had cut up and was serving.
Wayne Boron arriving back at the station with Metts' electric powered box cab and Mike Harkleroad riding behind him. Shortly to follow, Ted Nyland with his American steam locomotive pulling one of his interurban cars for a load arrived back at the station.
Richard Sales waits for the traffic to move ahead so he can depart the station as we are running with signals today with two way traffic. Kitty enjoys her cake as she talks to Noreen Malinowski.
Rick Nagy talks with Ken before he departs the station on his next run with a load of passengers. Ken looking back over the passengers to check out the train and how it was loaded before he departs the station.
Matthew Tomko at the controls of East Wind as the big engine thunders towards the Hilton and Branch Line crossing with Frank Foti and Frank Smoley riding behind him as he starts down the grade to Fern. Back at the station Ron prepares to take Rex and Pam for a ride.
Frank Foti is now at the controls of East Wind as he departs the station with Matthew, Frank and Steve Tomko riding behind him on the train. Trev Smith as engineer of grandpa Dave Mroczynski's scratch built electric powered engine, departs the station with Grampa behind him.
Josh Frank, with throttle advanced, engages the engine in gear as he departs the station with his passengers. Skip Frank arriving back at the stations stops his Columbia steam engine named "Lynn" just past the station by the water and air supply.
Kevin thanks Skip Frank for the ride on his circus train. Noreen and Ron Malinowski as they were leaving took time for one last photo.
Ken arriving back at the station with the club's GP38 with a full load of passengers. Bill Deptowicz's Nickel Plate caboose he scratch built that rides on the end of the train powered by the club's GP38.
Dave Hurd talks with Don Speidel who is sitting behind his engine with Mike Harkleroad behind him. Dick Mackey arrived and took a seat in the B&O hopper car with guests sitting behind him as they depart to station.
Scott Hewis as he was arriving back at the station with his Southern Pacific engine that is electric powered and gives the photographer smile. A few minutes later Ted Nyland arrives with his American class loco towing one of his interurban cars.
Ken arrived back at the station with the GP38 and these guests, who seemed to be enjoying the ride. Ryan Zorko as engineer of grandpa's Fireball Express as he comes back into the station with the train.
I don't know if I caught Marty Pinkston in a yawn or whether he's acting as the horn as Skip comes into the station with his train. Don Speidel on the curve by Pandora with Dave Cryor, Dave Woldman, Lew Fowler and Steve Zaken as passengers.
Trev with his grandpa Dave behind him is just about to pass over Cider Bridge as he heads back into the station.Skip behind his engine Lynn is about pass through the Covered Bridge which is almost the halfway point of the run on the mainline from the station.
Skip now carrying passengers, passes over the grade crossing for the Park Access Road as he enters Horrendous. Don with Paul Emch, Dave Cryor and Lew Fowler emerging from Horrendous on their way towards Zip Junction.
Scott Hewis with his passengers passing through Horrendous with Paul Zorko in the distance waiting for the signal to clear for his block. Ron Trenhaile was working on his engine and I guess he got it fixed as he is Eastbound through Horrendous in this view.
