4.14.07 Club Run/Work Session

Dick Clark, Paul Emch and I decided to inspect equipment since it had rained in the morning and was cold during the day, very few brought their equipment to run. Setting the cars up on the steaming bays made it easy to inspect the cars.
By putting planks between the steaming bay and the adjacent work bench we could lay the cars over to inspect the brake rigging and bearings. This truck requires the brake cylinders to be rebuilt.
Bill Deptowicz's stock car and NKP caboose were inspected along with the rider cars. It was good to see Bill Bodemer and his wife Debbie back at the track.
George Woodling sits at the tie clip press waiting for ties in the station. Paul Emch backs his train into the station to pick up a load of finished ties.
Rick Nagy using armstrong power to take a wheelborrow load of finished ties to the storage area. Johnathan Shaffer counting and loading ties into gondolas on Paul's train.
With their tie supply replendished George and Dave Foster start pressing the clips on. The guys are stacking up the completed ties as they unload the train.
The stack of ties looks to have a noticable lean. Yup! that it does.. I wonder if they had more than hot coffee in the station...just kidding.
Edith Hacker loading a wheelborrow full of the plain ties to take to the station for the guys to add the clips. Dave, George Davidson and George at the press and behind them Jonathan, Dick, Rick and Edith enjoying the warmth of the station.
