Public Run -- Earth Day, 4/17/2011


East Wind in the steaming bay raising steam with the safety lifted, as Frank checks over the tender. More activity in the steaming bays as Mike Harkleroad and Skip Frank go about raising steam in their engines for the Earth Day Run.

With safety lifted, Skip moves Lynn forward towards the turntable and will connect up with the circus cars behind him. First train out of the station for this run is Rex Shriver with the passengers all bundled up agains the chill of the day.
Frank after leaving the station as he approaches the junction at Short with East Wind enveloped in steam and smoke. Karl Losely as engineer today for the Park engine waits patiently for his passengers to be loaded.

Richard Sales waits for his train to be loaded by Robbi and Frank will be loading next and you can see the line isn't very long. Dick Clark after having just crossed over the Cider Bridge on his way back to the station.

With the run officially over, Frank takes LSLS members out for a ride. Karl coming into the station with one of the last loads of public riders.
If Karl gets too used to these diesel engines, I wonder if he'll want to get back to his steaming Hudson after he re-tires it. Dick looking all pleased with the run, even though we had a low rider count for Earth Day.
