It's Earth Day! John Deptowicz departs the station with his Snoopy train and passengers as Bill Besselman at left counts the riders that Mike Harkleroad loaded. Skip Frank opens the throttle on his engine Lynn and slowly gains speed as he leaves the station.
Ted Nyland advances the throttle on his electric interurban's as he departs from the siding at Shriver station with his passengers. Richard Sales framed in the picture by the water tower as he passes by on the mainline.
Rick Nagy rumbles through the Truss Bridge with a full load of passengers with Jen Legan as his conductor. Judson Elliott kept an eye on the trains as they passed by to make sure no one was reaching out, dragging their feet or taking pictures.
Ken Brooks, with his electric cab unit, climbs the grade at Mackey's Run as his passengers give a wave to the photographer. Frank Foti passes Mackey's Run with a full trainload of passengers with Judy Oscker on the rear as his conductor and East Wind is hardly working.
John passes by with the Snoopy train as he's about to roll out on the Big Bend Bridge with his riders. Next to come along is Skip Frank and his engine Lynn as he blows the whistle for the photographer to show the steam vapors on this cool Earth Day.
A few minutes later at mid span of the Big Bend Bridge, I caught Scott Hewis and his Southern Pacific engine with his bundled up riders. Paul Zorko at the same location with his Fireball Express and passengers with Frank Smoley as conductor on the rear.
Kenny gives a wave as he passes by the plaque for the bridge commemorating all those that helped make it possible for the bridge to be built. Rick with the GP38 just clears the end of the bridge with the engine as he heads for Pandora.
Charlie McDonald, a new member, running his scratch built engine as he passes through Pandora. Ken has just cleared the Covered Bridge and is on his way towards Zip Junction and points west.
Ron Malinowski and Ron Trenhaile watch the trains as they progress through Horrendous from the park bench situated above the track at Horrendous. Scott passing through Horrendous will soon be taking the grade down through Filmor and onto Patty's Rock Bridge.
Down at Filmor overlooking the Plate Girder Bridge on the Branch Line, Marty Pinkston comes by with the Fireball Express and Frank is his conductor. Kenny about to run over the crossing for Branch Line with the clickety-lack of the wheels running over the gaps in the rail.
Don Speidel, running Paul Emch's Nickel Plate Road SW9, crosses over Patty's Rock Bridge and will soon assault the grade up to High Creek. After crossing over the Branch Line at Hilton, Ted starts the grade down towards Fern with his passengers.
Paul Emch at the controls of the GP38 is almost ready to depart the station with Jen Legan as conductor. The young man was looking forward to the ride and sits behind Ted as they depart the station with his parents behind him.
Bill Deptowicz at the controls of the Snoopy train to give his son a break and stretch his legs. Don as he heads back into the station, just passes over Cider Bridge with Dave Woldman as his conductor.
Next to come by is Frank Foti with East Wind and his passengers with Judy Oscker as his conductor. Back at the station, Lew Fowler stands alongside Bill Besselman who is counting passengers with Mike Harkleroad and Paul Emch loading riders as Ted departs.
John back at the controls of his train, heads out on another run with his passengers as they pass the switch to Short. Ken after having emerged from the Covered Bridge heads towards Zip Junction and everyone is all smiles.
John Koontz as engineer of the Park engine, with Dave Hird as his conductor, passes through Zip Junction and shortly will be back at the station. East Wind thunders over the Big Bend bridge and takes the slight grade easily as Frank heads for Pandora.
Sean Roberts comes by with his 0-6-0 steam switcher as he rumbles over the Big Bend Bridge. Skip was the next to follow through and as he rumbled over the Big Bend Bridge he blew Lynn's whistle for the photographer.
Low angle shot of Ken Brooks as he rumbled over the bridge with his passengers. Skip waits for his train to be loaded as Bill keeps a rider tally on numbers for the Park.
Judy Oscker got off the train as conductor and helped with the unloading of personnel from the trains as they came back into the station. After the run, Ethan Deptowicz is at the controls of the Snoopy train with his dad and mom, John and Amy Deptowicz riding behind.
Ethan said grandpa you are always taking pictures, let me take one so Ethan took this as we were putting away the Snoopy train, his dad John and his grandpa Bill Deptowicz. Sean Robert's son slows the steam engine to a stop before they back it up on a steaming bay.
