Public Run - 5/05/13

For the "Railroads in the Park" theme today we set out our passenger car up on one of the steaming bays and removed the railing in the fence so the public could take pictures alongside of it with their family. The trains were moved into position at the loading area prior to the start of the public run.

Frank having just passed through Zip Junction will next encounter Horrendous on his way towards points West as he is near the mid-way point of his run. Paul Zorko with his SW6 will soon be passing Drudgery as he heads towards Hemlock near the beginning of his run.
Rick passes by Drudgery with a happy group of riders that are only a couple minutes into the run on this beautiful sunny day. Skip Frank as he heads for Hemlock is adjacent to the yard were Bill Deptowicz's scratch built stock-car is sitting out.
Bill modeled the stock-car after John Allen's G & D (Gory and Defeated) Bulline 125 sway back car of HO gauge fame from the 1950's that John made. Paul Emch with his Hudson as he passes over the Park Access Road crossing on the mainline just before Drudgery with Frank Smoley as his conductor.

A few minutes later Rex passes by the same spot with his passengers as he heads for Horrendous and points West. Richard Sales passes through High Creek with his load of passengers as he follows a couple minutes behind Rex.
As the photographer stands on the Branch Line he watches Dick, who has just climbed the 3 1/2+ percent grade from Gulch to High Creek, pass by on his way to Horrendous.
