5.06.07 Public Run

Skip Frank and Josh Frank push grampas train out to the steaming bays. Ted Nyland checks that the wheels are aligned with the rail as he pushes his interurban off the transfer lift.
Frank has raised steam and is on the track in front of the steaming bays and talking to the guys. Skip tends to the fire in front of the station before the run.
Frank coasts thru the station past Skip before the run. The line of riders isn't very long today maybe because of the cooler weather.
Bill Besselman is our passenger counter at left with Dave Foster and Ken Vendlinger on their trains as Roy Harris loads. Roy finishes the passengers instructions before Dave starts his run.
Dick moves his train up to load and lets Roy know he will take a full load. Dick all loaded with passengers and Linda Harris as conductor switch to the other main leaving the station.
Jerry Bell leaving with the clubs' GP38 as Roy anounces "All Aboard". Dick with his SW1500 unloading passengers at the station.
Frank with his engine starting to coast after just passing High Creek. George Woodling on the curve at Horrendous.
Ken Vendlinger was behind Georges' train on the same curve at Horrendous. This picture shows Georges' train and his passengers as they too pass High Creek.
Ken approaching Horrendous from the East. Dave came by shortly with his scratch-built speeders.
Mike Uhrich and his wife Roberta on the park bench. Mike watches over a good many of our public runs from this viewpoint. Dick passes through with his train and the temperature is hovering around 53 degrees.
Paul Emch on the Park loco waiting for the all clear to start his run. The anticipation of waiting for the train as the last public riders of the day watch as a train pulls up to load them.
As Ken pulls up to the loading area he finds there are no more passengers to take. Dick and Jerry came in and Pam Znidar at right can relax from giving unloading instructions to the passengers as they disembark.
Progress has been made on the bridge as we can see that the deck has been added. One of the work teams has been auggering out the holes for the posts for the new shed.
We can see where they dug the holes and placed white buckets in them as a safety feature. It looks good and the guys are making some progress on the shed.
