Last nights' storm brought down alot of branches and debris that Steve Zaken and Bill Deptowicz walked the track and cleared it off. A telephoto shot of the bottom of the gorge with all the water run off form last nights' rain.
Wally Pausch, Lew Fowler, Joe Banzer work on replacing the horn that came loose as George Metts watches the activities. Dick Clark running the work train with a new switch on the cars at Zip Junction.
Dick and Bill were trying a layout to see if coming off the Branch line main for two way running and connecting into Short line for turning a train around would work. View from the other end. Right now you have to go to Shoe to turn your train after two way running.
Don Speidel and Paul Emch were inspecting cars and they use the portable air tank to check the action of the brakes. In our Switch Shed Ted Nyland was busy building another switch.
Before dinner we gave rides to the Leadership Group for the Park system and Jerry Bell is engineer for this run. Dick Clark is running the GP38 and is approaching the Park access road crossing.
Edith Hacker watches as Jerry comes back into the station at the end of his run with Mike Uhrich as conductor on the rear car. Dick brings his train to a stop in front of the station with Pam Znidar by the station door.
Dick poses for the camera as he waits for the conductor to board his train. With a couple more passengers and his conductor Dick departs the station for the last run.
Kitty Shriver, Edith, Jerry and Pam ate inside because of the cool weather as Dick Mackey and Mike Harkleroad share the warmth of the station. Robbi Haines cleaning up the kitchen after serving dinner.
