Club Run - 5/18/13

Chris and Dena Cooper pass by the station eastbound with their train as they start their next run. Josh Frank rolls into the station with George Metts' military scratch built engine with Robbi Haines and Jennifer Legan riding behind him.
Skip Frank stops near the bottom of the ramp from the steaming bays to talk to Bob Beardslee as "Lynn", making smoke, seems eager to head out on the high rail. Ken Vendlinger pulled into the ash pit track to dump the ashes in his electric powered engine but I don't think they will accumulate much.
Bob Craig bought his scratch-built rail bus and he just passed the switch to Short on the mainline as he heads out for his 1st run. Ken Brooks had his train and was letting a guest operate it as I caught them coming out of Orchard Yard behind the station.
Frank Foti with East Wind and Matthew Tomko on his train as he heads for the pit to dump ashes. Skip Frank with" Lynn", having changed his mind, backs his train onto the mainline instead of taking the switch to Short.
Trevor Smith at the controls of Dave Mroczynski's, his grandfather, scratch-built engine as he is about to pass over the grade crossing for the Park access drive at Lester while running eastbound. Coming out of the yard I caught Mike Harkleroad on Don's gas powered speeder and he's all smiles.
Ken Vendlinger and Lew Fowler wait for a white signal to acquire the block ahead at Hemlock on our two-way running today. Don Speidel moving out of the yard behind the Willis Car Barn as he heads for the mainline with his train.
Trevor having fun running the engine behind the station on the Orchard Loop. Frank with East Wind passing through Shoe as Josh Frank waits for the signal to be cleared so he can acquire that block.
Frank having just emerged from the covered bridge is heading towards Zip Junction with Matthew and his dad, Steve Tomko, riding behind. Paul Zorko with his wife Anna on the engineers car with Edith Hacker and Jen Legan riding on the straddle car as they wait for the signal at Filmor and that's Skip Frank behind him.
Dick Clark waits to acquire the signal near Thorn as Don Speidel passes by on the mainline going westbound into the station with his train. Skip leaving the station with "Lynn" his 2–4–2 Columbia steam engine.
Jonathan Shaffer, Dave Foster and Robbi Haines at the picnic tables under the station canopy as Chris Cooper with his scratch-built box cab poses for his picture before departing the station. This is a different sight, as Frank arrives at the station coming in on the bypass track on the Orchard Loop.
Ron Trenhaile riding as the conductor on Dick's Clark's train in the conductors chair car. Rick Nagy just acquired the signal for the block ahead but Marty Pinkston, with his scratch built engine, had already passed over the crossing at Filmore on the branchline and we wait for him to clear.
Back up at the station, they had a cake for Skip Frank to celebrate his retirement from the working masses. As the members stand around and watch, Skip cuts the 1st piece of cake.
Shortly after the cake cutting and enjoying same, Marty came past the station East bound with his disconnected logging trucks and maybe a 30 foot long log. This is what happens when you have an oversize load and trying to get around some of the curves on the railroad, he didn't make it.
Arriving at the station is a smiling engineer Ethan Deptowicz with his dad, John, riding behind him on the Snoopy train. Dave Hird on his shakedown run after having been given instructions by Rick Nagy, riding behind him, as they come in on the back curve behind the station.
Marty sitting in Richard Sales engineer chair car coupled to the rear of the train as he passes through Horrendous using radio control to run the engine at the head end. Bob with his rail bus waiting for the block signal to clear so he may acquire the yellow signal at Hemlock.
Matthew as engineer at the controls of East Wind with Frank riding behind to oversee the operation as they head eastbound from the station and soon will be crossing Cider Bridge. Chris and Dena as they wait with their train to acquire the block signal so they may proceed on the mainline westbound at Hemlock.
Matthew arriving at the station westbound with East Wind and his passengers as he slows the big engine in preparation to stop. Alan Jesunas at the controls of his switcher arriving at the station with his passenger Daren Warren.
The backup coming into the station as we see Paul Zorko on Don Speidels' engine with Bob's rail bus and Dick Clark with his SW 1500 at the rear waiting to come in. Dick coming into the station with Rick Nagy and Ron Trenhaile riding behind him as Dave Hird walks along with the train.
Ken Brooks arriving at the station with Frank and Lois Smoley riding behind him and that's Judy Oscker and Dave Foster, part of a group sitting next of the station, in a discussion. Departing the station eastbound is Logan Tapolyai, as engineer of the Snoopy train, with Ethan and John Deptowicz riding behind him.
Jonathan Shaffer arriving back at the station with the club's GP 38 as he slows in front of the station to see if anybody wants to go for a ride. Caught Chris coming into the station Eastbound with Wally Pausch as his passenger and Mike standing between the tracks.
