Leveling the end of the track in Orchard Yard Ken Brooks lifts the track as Frank Foti cleans the mud and stone from between the ties. Dick Clark and Frank tamping the new ballast between the rails.
The adjacent set of three tracks was lifted in the same manner and cleaned between the ties. John Koontz dumping another bucket of ballast on the yard tracks.
Frank working in the foreground as the track team grab buckets of ballast from the work train and spread it along the tracks. The project is finished and the crew moves on, with the yard track looking good.
The crew is at Hilde Hill and dumping ballast along the tie wall to keep the water from washing away under the railroad ties. After dressing off the ballast and leveling the track at the covered bridge, Rick Nagy sweeps off the excess ballast with Bob Pakeltis standing by.
Marie Nyland watches Robbi Haines make cole slaw as tonight we are being treated to a Lake Erie perch courtesy of Ted and Marie Nyland. Rick giving the use of his leg as Jerry Bell digs up the drain tile to see why it isn't draining properly.
Frank and Ken brought panels of fencing for our use and we stacked them for now against the tool shed. Mike Harkleroad admiring the work that Edith Hacker did in spreading the gravel behind the tool shed to keep us out of the mud.
Bob Pakeltis removes the wheelborrow tire that has gone flat to try to fix it as Lew Fowler watches. Mike Harkleroad helps dig as Roger and Jerry decide the course of action to take with the drain.
Roger, Lew, Dick Mackey, Rex Shriver and Dick are passing through the line getting their fish dinner with Marie and Robbi inside the kitchen serving. Three drains with the tee removed and wondering were the drain to the left of the picture goes.
We found out where the discharge of the drain is and removed the overgrown grass from the end of the pipe. Ken Brooks looking at the pipe and this picture shows the relationship of the location to the station.
A meeting of the minds, Mike, Jerry, Roger, Rick, Dick and Karl Losely discussing elevations of the track and the new brick pavers we are going to put in. When you chain tables together make sure you know where the keys are as Rex and Jerry try to find the right one.

Mike and Jerry start moving the tables off the existing pavers. Bob Beardslee, Rex, Jerry and Marie wait as Robbi sweeps the pavers clean.

Jerry and Mike take a few minutes to check over their progress as Kathy keeps on removing the pavers. They are doing good and making quite a bit of progress as they near the end of the station.
