Public Run - 5/20/2012

For today's public run Ken Brooks with his Steeple cab engine will be the first train out as John Deptowicz on the adjacent track with his Snoopy train waits to be loaded. Chet Roberts running his Mogul departs the station with his two riders under the watchful eye of Bill Besselman who is our passenger counter today.
John with the Snoopy train gradually gains speed as he leaves the station for a run down the mainline with his happy riders. Jeff Riddler had his Steeple cab out and with a fully loaded train departed on down the mainline for his first run of the day.
Ken Vendlinger waves to the photographer as he departs the station with his passengers and that almost always present smile on his face. Marty Pinkston who uses the chair portion from a wheelchair appears to have that laid-back look as he waits for Roy to give final instructions to his riders.
Scott Hewis looks over his shoulder to see how Roy and Linda Harris are progressing with the loading of his train. Bill talks to one of the riders about keeping their purse in front of them as Dick Clark waits for the "All aboard!" signal to move his train.
Paul Zorko with a fully loaded train gains speed as he departs the station for the 9 to 10 min. run it will take before he comes back to the station. John leaving the station with Chapin, Oliver, Dave and Olivia Yates with the music of Snoopy playing through the engine.
I told Ted Nyland that he should use that mufflicator and he wouldn't have all this smoke with his electric powered interurbans. Ted departing the station amongst the smoke that was caused by Chet's Mogul simmering on the adjacent track waiting to be loaded.
As of late we seem to have a peanut gallery as you come back into the station with Bonnie Zaken, Anna Zorko, Judy Oscker and Edith Hacker with the razzmatazz. Here we have hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil and I give up! Anna wanted to know if I took the picture yet, I told her don't cover her eyes.
Scott arriving back at the station with his passengers you can't see behind him, because he took the track closest to me. Paul arriving back at the station as he coasts to a stop at the unloading area ready to unload his passengers.
Dick arriving back at the station on track one and will soon be unloading his passengers. John pulling into the station with the Yates family and they all look like they enjoyed the ride.
Skip Frank was moving Scrappy and just passing through by the station on the way to putting the engine away. The peanut gallery did it again but this time with Bill Deptowicz kneeling behind them as Bill was on the other side of the lens of the camera this time.
Bill who was running Dick's SW1500 was talking to the peanut gallery as he came in to the station with his load of passengers. Bill Besselman (seated) watched as Roy Harris helped a rider to board one of the straddle cars on Scott's train.
Roy has loaded Paul's train and has given the clearance to move it and Jenny Legan is the conductor for this run. Dave Foster is keeping a watchful eye on the riders as they pass by Horrendous with Dick passing through with his riders and Hal is his conductor.
Ken gives a wave to the photographer as he transits through Horrendous bound for Zip Junction and points west. You just have to admit Marty looks like he's enjoying it too much with his laid-back style of operating his train.
Judson Elliott has just passed through High Creek with his riders on his way through Horrendous. Scott must not be tired enough as he is still smiling as it's almost 3 o'clock after two hours of running.
Ken and his passengers westbound through Horrendous and will soon be taking the grade down Fillmore and crossing over Patty's Rock Bridge. Paul Emch at the controls of the GP38 as he passes through High Creek on his way to Horrendous and is more than halfway around the track.
The passings at Horrendous with Ken heading towards Fillmore and Paul in the background heading back to the station due to arrive in about 3 min. One thing about our track is that you are mostly in the shade as you ride the trains as Ken demonstrates.
Dick just ascended the grade from Gulch to High Creek and will soon be taking the level track at Horrendous as he heads for Zip Junction. I think Marty's riders enjoyed the trip as I got a big thumbs-up and smiling faces.
Judson with another trainload of passengers as he heads for Filmor on his trip West around the track. Ethan Deptowicz who has been waiting patiently to run the Snoopy train is about to leave the station with his dad, John and mom, Amy behind him.
Ted is about to pass through Horrendous with Judson following behind him as they carry some of the last few trainloads of public riders. Scott as he heads for the grade crossing near Zip Junction on his way back into the station.
Paul after the public run with a trainload of members as they enjoy a ride through the woods, do you notice that it consists of the peanut gallery? Logan Tapolyai as engineer of the Snoopy train with John, Amy and Ethan riding behind him as they get ready to leave the station.
