Club Run - 5/21/2011

Dick Clark nearing the end of his run as he coasts into the station to a stop. Frank Foti with East Wind up on the steaming bays as he tries to stick his head in the fire box -- actually he's checking to see if the coal is burning evenly.
The right side of East Wind's running gear as she sits up on the steaming bay. As we cross the Big Bend Bridge with the Snoopy train, we meet Ken Vendlinger with his Reading switcher as he waves to the photographer.
Paul Emch's mother, Donna, is all smiles as she listens to the conversations around her in front of the station. Some of the beauty surrounding the Nature Center on this fine May day.
Bob Charles Bassett aboard his New York Central train cleverly hides his wife's face as I take his picture with Steve Zaken crossing the track in the background. Paul Emch on his Nickel Plate Road train with Don Speidel riding behind in the gondola.
Caught George Metts unaware as he was having a conversation in front of the station. Ken Vendlinger departing the station with his Reading electric-powered switcher.
Frank had a mishap with East Wind as the screw holding the pivot point for the excentric backed out causing the excentric to bend and he had to be towed back in. George in the steaming bays raising steam in his Camelback engine before he runs.
George watches as Skip Frank pushes his Columbia engine named "Lynn" onto the turntable to align it for the Main Line track. Lynn, all turned and ready to move off the turntable under its own power, with smoke billowing from the stack.
Ken's engine stopped in front of the station with members in conversation as Robbi walks toward the photographer. We had the Snoopy train on its first run today and at the bottom of the hill by the Truss Bridge we found this three foot long black rat snake waiting to cross the tracks.
Skip with his young passenger, as they left the ash pit and headed out to the Main Line at the Drudgry Crossover. Don Speidel sitting astride Paul Emch's electric-powered Nickel Plate Hudson in front of the station, with Donna and Edith Hacker alongside.
The action on the track approaching the west end of the station with Ken Vendlinger heading into the station and Ken Brooks and Richard Sales with their trains departing eastbound. With Ken and Richard in the background, Dick arrives at the station with Lew Fowler and Edith as passengers.
