Work Session - 6/01/2011

A picture of the three-light signal with its support post that Paul Emch donated to the club which will be erected when a location is chosen. Paul and Anna Zorko listen as Pat Morse from the Park Service talks to Edith Hacker who's digging out the stump of an apple tree the Park cut down.
A view of the stump in all its glory that has many roots leading out from its base. Although the stump looks dead, there's still some life trying to survive.
Dick Clark on the Branch Line above High Creek checking out the track for level and raising it as needed. A rear view of the Park Engine with the foot pegs laying on the running board waiting for installation.
The guys were trial laying down track to get the curve off the switch for the track that will cross the Main Line for the Nyland cutoff. With the track in place across the Main Line, we will now be able to figure out the angle of the crossing required.
The crossing angle will have to be tweaked so we can meet with the track coming off the switch from Short that we laid months back. Dave Foster at the Covered Bridge mounting our commemorative plaque in memory of Clyde Bleil.
A close-up of the plaque to be dedicated at the Open Meet on June 18 with Clyde's family in attendance. A view of the Covered Bridge with the plaque in place.
Paul, Wally Pausch, Lew Fowler, Jerry Bell and Dick Clark watch as John Koontz (behind Dick) measures the angle with a square. A view looking down at the crossing to show the angle involved, which will be made up with steel ties and steel rail with a machined frog.
John, Dave Foster and Jerry trying to decide the final outcome for the degree of angle for the crossing. Dick Clark had this plaque made up to present to Mr. Sam Foti on June 18th to thank him for the use of Hose Master's facilities where we repair our equipment during the winter months.
