Public Run - 6/03/2012

Here we see Jon Jaros sitting on his Northern in front of the steaming bays with friend Mike Harkleroad on this overcast and dreary day for today's Public Run. A smiling Chet Roberts stands alongside his Mogul which is up on one of the steaming bays as he prepares to raise steam in the engine.
Lew Fowler watches as Jon sprays down his engine to get the dust and grime off of it as Mike sits on the tender prior to the start of the run. Dick Clark hauling the public is at Ridgeway deep in the woods as he is about to roll out on to the Big Bend bridge.
Ted Nyland with his pair of electric powered interurbans has just passed Mackey's Run and soon will be rumbling out over the Big Bend Bridge. John Deptowicz with the Snoopy train following along behind Ted is at Mackey's Run and heading towards the Big Bend Bridge and will pass through Pandora as he heads for the Covered Bridge.
Back at the station Robbie Haines is loading Dick's train and the sun doesn't want to pop out through the overcast day but you can see the line of passengers waiting patiently to ride the trains. Dick departs the station with a load of passengers and John Koontz as his conductor with Robbie in the background who will soon be loading John's train.
Dick takes on air at the station for his brakes as Jerry Bell and Robbie load Dan Pappas's train as Dan talks to Bill Besselman at the loading area. John Koontz, who is giving Ted a break from running, has arrived back at the station with his passengers at the end of the run.
Kevin Harris departing the station with the cylinder cocks venting moisture on the Northern as the engine gains speed pulling its load. John with Snoopy engine is departing the station as John on the interurbans, Dick with his SW1500 and Judson Elliott with his scratch built electric cab wait for their turn to be loaded with passengers.
John is about to depart the station with his passengers as Robbie tries to find two people for Judson's train. Ethan Deptowicz waits patiently behind the station for the end of the run so he'll get a chance to run the Snoopy engine on the mainline.
Paul Emch and his riders with Don Speidel as his conductor as they near the end of the run with the train on the track behind the station. Rex Shriver passing by the same location behind the station with his passengers being pulled by his electric powered switcher.
Kevin Harris at the controls of the big Northern as he passes by Shoe and will soon pass through the Covered Bridge on his way to Zip Junction and points west. John with Snoopy train rumbling out from the Covered Bridge with his load of happy passengers.
John as he of approaches Zip Junction with his riders sitting astride the interurbans enjoying the ride. A few minutes later Judson came by with his scratch built boxcab and a load of happy passengers as they make their way towards Horrendous.
A distant shot of the activities going on in front of the station at the loading area as the trains are being loaded and ready to depart. Jerry Bell as engineer of the club's GP38 as it passes through Horrendous on its way to Zip Junction.
Kevin checks the gauges on the Northern as he passes through the Truss Bridge and will soon be on the grade at Mackey's Run. John with his passengers on the interurbans follows some distance behind behind Kevin as he passes through the Truss Bridge.
Smile Judson, you're on candid camera....... Oh well at least his passengers are enjoying the ride. Jerry with the GP38 on the Park Access Road crossing after passing through the Truss Bridge will soon be rumbling over the Big Bend bridge in a few minutes.
Richard Sales at the controls of Marty Pinkston's train on the Truss Bridge and that's Marty behind Richard as they enjoy their run with the wind and the bugs in their teeth. Paul with his Nickel Plate RR switcher train is all smiles for the cameraman after having passed through the Truss Bridge.
Rex Shriver waves after passing through the Truss Bridge on his way towards Mackey's Run and the Big Bend Bridge. John smiles for the photographer and if you notice I think Snoopy is to, can't make out if Woodstock is.
There's Ted back at the controls of his interurbans as he coasts down the grade passing Hilde Hill as he approaches the cameraman who is standing at Fern. With the Public Run now over, Ted picked me up and we followed Jerry Bell with his passengers as he entered the Covered Bridge ahead of us.
As we passed through Horrendous we noticed Rick Nagy, Dave Foster, Mike Uhrich and Joe Banzer as they watched the trains go by trying to keep the trains safe by monitoring the riders.
