Public Run: Part II - 6/5/2011

Our conductor, Kevin, punching the special souvenir tickets provided by the Lake MetroParks for its "Railroads in the Park" event. It's starting to get congested at the station with trains waiting to unload their passengers.
Kevin is ready to punch tickets as Bill Deptowicz, operating the Snoopy train, waits for Robbi to finish loading his passengers. Paul watches Kevin stamp the tickets as Frank Foti rolls up to the loading area with East Wind.

One happy youngster sitting astride a train engine -- what else can you say -- the look on his face says it all. The happy youngster now accompanied by his mother as he enjoys his time astride the engine.

Jerry's train is loaded and waiting for passengers to have their tickets punched as Rex Shriver departs with his two passengers. It's getting near the end of the run and Kevin, who has to be sweltering in that heavy uniform, is holding up really well.
Don't you just hate jack-rabbit starts when they catch you off balance? Not really -- this was a posed shot of John Koontz as the train pulled forward to the loading area. A perfect example of the enthusiasm for trains down through the generations.
Trains arriving at the end of their trip are about to unload their passengers with Roberta Uhrich and Ken in conversation with engineer Dick on his train. Anna Zorko and Edith Hacker sitting in front of the station watching the trains as they unload.
