Paul Emch leaving the station with his SW6 lettered for the Nickel Plate Railroad is all smiles as he gains speed. Skip Frank and his steamer named "Lynn" waits for his train to be loaded before he departs the station.
Mike Harkleroad sitting on Bob Beardslee's 0-4-0 Pennsylvania switcher is hidden in steam vapors as the safety is lifted. Skip with his train loaded and moving on down the mainline as he heads for Drudgery after passing through Gooseneck.
Mike with the train loaded, eases the throttle open under the watchful eye of Bob Beardslee as he will have to take the siding route through Lester to get to the mainline at Hemlock. Paul Zorko with a trainload of passengers is all smiles as he passes the whistle post in the foreground for the Park Access Road grade crossing.
Richard Sales passes through Zip Junction with his load of passengers on his way to towards Horrendous and is at the halfway point of the ride. Marty Pinkston, with his electric powered box cab, passes by the same point at Zip Junction with all the diverging tracks visible.
Dick Clark with his train on the Park Access Road grade crossing after passing through Horrendous on his way back to the station. Ken Brooks passing through Zip Junction and will soon be rumbling over the grade crossing for the Park Access Road as he approaches Horrendous.
A few minutes later, Frank Foti with his steam engine "East Wind" and Dave Hird riding on the rear as his conductor, approach Zip Junction on their way back to the station. Scott Hewitt gives a wave from his train as he passes through Zip Junction after emerging from the Covered Bridge behind him.
Don Speidel on the grade up from the Covered Bridge with his trainload of passengers and Dick Schmidt on the rear his train as conductor. Skip emerges from the Covered Bridge with his train and the whistle blowing for the photographer to make a great photo.
With Bob Beardslee at the controls of his Pennsy switcher and a safety lifted, he passes by Shoe on his way to the Covered Bridge with his passengers. Ken Vendlinger gives a wave as he passes by Pandora on his way to Shoe and points West.
Rick Nagy passes by the same location with the GP 38 and his passengers with Lois Smoley on the rear as his conductor. With John Koontz giving Ted Nyland a break from driving his interurban's, the photographer caught him on the Big Bend bridge with his passengers
Having climbed up the grade from the Truss Bridge past Mackey's Run, Marty will soon be rumbling out over the 120 feet long Big Bend bridge as he approaches Ridgeway. A few minutes later, Richard came by with his passengers and shows the photographer that he's operating his engine with a radio control transmitter.
Frank Foti passes by Mackey's Run with a light load of passengers and Dave Hird is his conductor on this run. Scott after coming down the grade from Gulch has passed through Fern and is on his way towards the Truss Bridge.
Paul Emch at Fern, gives a smile for the photographer as he heads for the Truss Bridge. Jennifer legan having just passed by Hilde Hill, is soon to pass over bridge number 6 on her way to Fern with her dad's SW6 Fireball Express train.
Kenny coasting down the grade from Gulch with his scratch built electric powered 0-6-0 Reading diesel switcher. A little farther up the grade Rick with a full trainload of passengers coasts down grade from Hilton with the brakes applied to check the speed.
Bob at the diamond at Gulch coasts down grade with his train as he heads for Fern at the bottom of the hill. A little bit farther up grade I caught Ted Nyland on his interurban's as he approaches Gulch having just passed the switch for the South Yard Lead.
Dick Clark starting down grade from Hilton after having passed the crossing for the Branch Line as he heads towards Gulch and points West. Minutes later I caught Frank on the crossing for the Branch Line as he is starting down grade towards Fern.
Marty gives a wave as he has just passed over Big Wash Bridge on his way towards Hilton and the grade down that follows. Scott with his engine on the Big Wash Bridge gives a wave as do his passengers with Lew Fowler as his conductor.
Ken Brooks with his train at Hemlock will soon start down grade towards Fern which is a 3 1/2% grade to the bottom. Ted having loaded more passengers is about to depart the station and that's bill Bessel him and and a light-colored shirt behind him, that is our passenger counter for today.
Don adjust the speed as he departs the station with his SW6 that's painted and lettered for the New York Central Railroad with Paul Zorko riding behind him proudly displaying his Nickel Plate Road T-shirt and Ray Delmore in the conductors outfit is loading our trains. Josh Frank was running the military engine on the Orchard Loop behind the station during the run.
Dick arriving back at the station as he nears the end of his run with this group of passengers and Dave is his conductor. Scott having passed through Thorn gives a wave as he is on the trackage behind the station and is near the end of his run.
Ted arriving at Pandora after having just passed over the Big Bend bridge as some of his riders give a wave to the photographer. John Koontz emerges from the Covered Bridge with the GP38 and a full complement of passengers at the end of the Public Run today.
