George Metts at left watches as Skip Frank cracks open the throttle while Rob Frank looks on. Al, Dee Perry and Roger from WVIZ TV interview Dave Foster for a program about the club and the trains being in the Park system.
Bob Beardslee coming into the station Westbound as Ken Vendlinger follows. Manning Trubisky, a friend of Clayton Davidson, is operating the gas powered switcher George Davidson is putting together.
Dee Perry being good natured about a "damsel in distress", tied up and lying on the railroad track. Frank Russell with his interurban in front of the station Eastbound.
Two way traffic abounds at the station as Bob with his steamer waits for traffic as Don Speidel heads out Eastbound. Rex and Kitty Shriver wait for the main to clear as they leave Orchard Yard.
Rex took the switch to Short Line and waits for traffic, to cross the mainline. As I approach the station Frank with his passengers are outbound heading West.
Bill Deptowicz with his grandson, Ethan Deptowicz and Logan Tapolyai are about to ride the rails behind Frank's interurban. I think Ethan has been watching closely as he tries out the controls.
Austin Tapolyia, Bill and Ethan coming into the station on the by-pass track. Gee I feel as though I was missed. The dinner has begun.
The group chowing down for dinner at the pavillion. Marcel and his dad Mike eating desert and taking it easy by a tree next to the pavillion.
The cup cakes decorated with a railroad theme were delicious. We had a little time to spend before the club meeting at the pavillion so George Woodling took advantage of the time.
Rex Westbound passing the station with his train. Marty working on his electric cab on one of the steaming bays.
Frank banking the fire in Eastwind as the meeting is about due to start. The officers are starting to assemble at the head table under the pavillion.
The members listen as the new applications for membership are read. We voted in four new regular members an two junior memberships. After the meeting, running trains took precedent again.
Darkness settles in as Frank opens the throttle and Eastwind moves off into the night. Rick with Ron Trenhaile behind him approach the station Westbound and the signals will control movement.
Caught Mary Lou Schmidt in the camera flash on Mark Ross's Galloping Goose. Ken Vendlinger was enjoying the evening run also as there were fewer trains out on the track after it got dark.
Paul with Don and his train with George Woodling at the rear pass Dick Clark in the night. Al Dahlhausen from WCPN took this picture and sent it to Frank so I'm including it here.
