7.29.07 Public Run


The Park had their annual Woodcarvers Show with the quality of talent to be aboundant in the work displayed. Marty Pinkston brought his scratchbuilt box cab and had it sitting out on the yard tracks.
Marty getting the rider car connected in preparation for a run. Ohh, this doesn't look good, Frank Foti and Dick Clark in a head to head situation.
The public is waiting at the end of the walk and it is almost time for the run. Frank is the first to take a load of passengers as he moves out and Eastwind's safeties are lifting.
Rex Shriver with his train is sitting in the siding at the station as Judson Elliot with the Park engine checks his passengers before leaving. Rick Nagy with his first run is engineer for the club's GP38.
Frank just passing over the Park access road as he heads down the main from the station. Judson is following with his load of passengers.
Rick at Horrendous as he starts to coast for the grade at Filmor. Paul Emch with his Nickel Plate Switcher just passed through High Creek on his way to Horrendous.
Judson with his passengers passes the water tower at Twin Oaks. Don Speidel with his Switcher at Horrendous on what turned out to be a beautiful day.
Back at the station Judson is starting another run as Don pulls up behind him for riders and Mike Uhrich is on the right hand track. Caught Karl Losely relaxing at the station.
The Nickel Plate Special with Paul as engineer pulling into the station. Ted Nyland on his interurbans at Drudgery by the car barns.
Judson is Eastbound at the grade crossing between Zip Junction and Horrendous. George Woodling at the controls of the Nickel Plate Switcher as Paul is the conductor riding at the rear.
George Davidson is engineer for the GP38 with Kevin Chevalia as conductor as they go over the grade crossing. The line of public waiting to ride extends all the way to the right of the picture.
The activity at the station continues as Paul waits for Roy Harris to finish loading him and Jerry Bell is engineer for the GP38. Jerry is all loaded and starting the run with his passengers and Kevin is the conductor.
Bill Bodemer, in red, seated is the passenger counter as Roy gives riding instruction to the riders on the interurban. Dave Schweitzer pulls into the station and the end of the line is in view.
