Public Run - 7/31/2011


Ted Nyland's interurbans sitting on a siding by the station before the start of the public run today in conjunction with the Wildlife Festival & Woodcarvers Show at the Park. Bill Besselman is our counter today, as John Deptowicz waits for his passengers and Frank Foti checks over East Wind as his train is loaded.
Cough, cough, cough, cough -- John's thinking as he knows the smoke will eventually clear out with the breeze. Paul Zorko rolled into the station after his first run and waits as his passengers disembark from the train.
A closeup of Lynn, Skip Frank's little Columbia steam engine at the station. Jon Jaros brought his Northern and it idles at the ash pit.
Dick Clark passing through Horrendous just past the mid-point of the ride as he makes his way back to the station. Rex Shriver with his electric-powered switcher passes by through Horrendous.

Ted Nyland motors his interurban down the main line after just leaving the station with his passengers. Skip as he enters Horrendous will soon be taking the grade down past Filmor and Patty's Rock.
John with his Snoopy train enters Horrendous under the watchful eye of Karl Losely who watches the trains for over-exuberant passengers for safety reasons. Ken Brooks as he coasts down the hill with his trainload of passengers and Don Speidel as conductor.
A closeup of Woodstock with Snoopy and John in the background as they come up the grade to High Creek. Ken on his next trip around as he rumbles over the Gulch Bridge will soon be taking the grade to High Creek.
Frank coasts down the grade at Gulch with passengers and John Elliott as conductor as the safeties lift on East Wind. Rex after coming down the grade passes Fern on his way to the Truss Bridge with a happy load of passengers.
Ted rumbles over the Big Bend Bridge with his interurbans and soon will be passing through the Covered Bridge. Dick with his SW1500 gas-powered switcher as he runs out on the bridge following Rex.
